Alan Tudyk & Tyler Labine Announce 'Tucker and Dale vs. Evil' Sequel

Tucker & Dale vs. Evil

The existence of the horror comedy Tucker and Dale vs. Evil is impressive in itself, but now there's a sequel on the way. That's right, the film's stars Tyler Labine and Alan Tudyk attended Horrorhound in Cincinnati, Ohio recently and Bigger Show (via SlashFilm) recorded the duo announcing that a sequel to the 2010 film is on the way. And while sequels go into development all the time, Tudyk notes that this is a little more credible since the desire and outline for a knew sequel come from the producers as opposed to a director, who is always looking to garner support for a film, no matter what stage of development it's at.

But Tudyk and Labine are also a big part of the property itself, so they're not looking to make a sequel just for the cash grab (especially since the film wasn't a box office hit anyway). As they say, "We’ll never make a shitty sequel.” For those who don't know, the original film follows the title backwoods boys expecting to relax at their "vacation" cabin, but see their trip turn into a nightmare when they're accused of being psychotic killers. The film is available on Netflix Instant now, so check it out and get excited for a sequel.

What is wrong with these fans? They just keep wanting a "Sea Quail!, Sea Quail!". I didn't even know there was a sea type of Quail, but dangit man we better give 'em one! Must be some kind of Quail cult.
  • The first one was really a great flick! Everything you expected got turned upside down and thrown right out the window!

They need to bring back Katrina Bowden too as Dale's new girlfriend, because she would be great to be alongside them in their craziness as she was in the first film. Or, if not, have her appear in the beginning as Tucker & Dale go on a new vacation and she says behind at their home or wherever they live.
