Andrew Garfield Sings Signature Spider-Man Theme on 'Tonight Show'

May 2, 2014

Andrew Garfield

This weekend officially marks the beginning of blockbuster summer with the release of The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Sadly, the movie is supremely disappointing, calling back to some of the elements that make Batman Forever a silly trainwreck (but more on that from our own Jeremy Kirk in his review later). If it wasn't for Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, the movie would be nearly unwatchable. Thankfully, Garfield is charming all by himself, and as an end to a week of shows featuring the cast of The Amazing Spider-Man sequel, Jimmy Fallon sat down with the franchise star on "The Tonight Show", who was willing to show off his new guitar skills and belt out an acoustic version of the classic Spidey theme. Watch below!

Here's Andrew Garfield singing the Spider-Man theme song from "The Tonight Show":

And just for fun, here's Emma Stone partaking in an epic lip sync battle with Jimmy Fallon:

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is directed by Marc Webb and written by Jeff Pinker, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman. Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) finds, life is busy between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can't come quickly enough. Peter hasn't forgotten the promise he made to Gwen's father to protect her by staying away, but that's a promise he just can't keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past. Sony will release Amazing Spider-Man 2 in theaters starting on May 2nd. Are you excited yet?
