Jupiter Ascending

"I will harvest that planet tomorrow before I let her take it from me." We're finally getting close to Jupiter Ascending hitting theaters after it was delayed from its original release date this past summer. Because of the delay, we've already seen a good amount of what's in store for the film from Andy & Lana Wachowski, but a new French trailer teases a bit more of the big sci-fi action, and that along with the gorgeous visual seems to be the biggest selling point. It's undoubtedly a fairytale with a huge budget, and Channing Tatum fighting aliens with rocket boots just looks fun as hell. It may bomb, but I'm in. Watch!

Here's the French trailer for Andy & Lana Wachowski's Jupiter Ascending from Warner Bros. France:

Check out the latest US trailer for the Wachowski siblings' Jupiter Ascending right here.

Jupiter Ascending is written and directed by filmmaker siblings Andy Wachowski & Lana Wachowski, the duo behind Bound, the Matrix trilogy, Speed Racer and Cloud Atlas just last year. Official synopsis: In a universe where humans are near the bottom of the evolutionary ladder, a young destitute human woman is targeted for assassination by the Queen of the Universe because her very existence threatens to end the Queen's reign. The cast includes Sean Bean, Eddie Redmayne, Douglas Booth, James D'Arcy and Doona Bae. Warner Bros will open Jupiter Ascending in theaters everywhere starting February 6th, 2015. Cool?

I think this movie is going to be good, even great. As long as the visuals are epic and Eddie Redmayne delivers the performance that this trailer teases I will leave happy.

what else can be expected from such kind of movie... Only fun, mindless fun and nothing else...
  • I LOVED Cloud Atlas to death so i have high hopes for this movie.

I didnt like Cloud Atlas but looking forward to this movie regardless. My only issue with the movie thus far is the casting, especially Kunis..

hmm doubts about this one! I loved cloud atlas but this looks to much fairytale for me!

i thought i'd be dead before they released this movie. hurry time is running out for me.
  • Still up for checking it, hopefully it'll come out soon.

Only the stupid will be surprised when this sucks.

Looks great to me, but I worry about it taking so long... never a good sign. They never seem to take the extra time to make a really good movie better, just one that's not so good that's had a lot of money put in it. Thumbs crossed. If there's going to be a sequel, Mila will be 102 years old!

5 bucks says Sean Bean dies in this film.
I will see this for the audacity of it. Looks so weird.

    Love the sharp ears! Not.
  • Dotpols
when I saw the first trailer for this I thought it looked pretty boring, but that trailer was actually pretty fun and seemed like the story might not be that bad... will reserve judgement on this one.
