Earlier this week, we posted Key & Peele's awesome parody of 80s action movies with Strike Force Eagle 3: The Reckoning. But now someone has taken something a little more familiar to audiences by turning Captain America: The Winter Soldier into a Cannon film. You might remember the production banner as being known for crafting wild genre films, and this fanmade video has used the Marvel film to craft a trailer you might find on an old school VHS. It's a little too long, but there's some truly great moments here. Yes, not all the footage is from the sequel, but that's what makes it even more fun. Watch!
Here's the Cannon film take on Captain America: The Winter Soldier (via Badass Digest):
The year is 2007. Crime is at an all time high and the law has a plan to wipe it out! CAPTAIN AMERICA (Chris Evans), a Vietnam vet who was given super strength by a military scientist, Abraham Erskine (Cillian Murphy) is now America’s new crime fighter. When he refuses to kill an innocent Senator he is back stabbed by the very people who made him! He’s out for revenge. If you’re going to make enemies, you better make sure it’s not America!
Captain America: The Winter Soldier is directed by Anthony & Joe Russo ("Community" and "Arrested Development") with a script from Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely (Captain America: The First Avenger, Thor: The Dark World). Chris Evans reprises his role as Captain America, still struggling to adjust to present day life, when a powerful new enemy emerges. Scarlett Johansson also returns in the film as S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Natasha Romanoff along with Anthony Mackie, Emily VanCamp, Robert Redford, Frank Grillo and Sebastian Stan. Disney released the film in theaters this year and it's now on Blu-Ray and DVD.
