The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby

"Everyone starts out thinking this is forever…" TWC has unveiled a trailer for The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby, being released this fall in the combined form (aka "Them"). The film, starring Jessica Chastain and James McAvoy as lovers rekindling, was originally shot as two separate movies - one for "Him" and "Her". Each one told the same story from each perspective, but this version brings everything together and it's solid, a very moving and authentic film about love. In addition to Chastain & McAvoy, the film features Bill Hader, William Hurt, Viola Davis, Isabelle Huppert, Jess Weixler and Ciarán Hinds. As much as this may be a hard sell, it is really a lovely film, worth looking into and experiencing.

Here's the first official trailer for Ned Benson's The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby, from Yahoo:

The story of a couple trying to reclaim the life and love they once knew and pick up the pieces of a past that may be too far gone. The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby is written & directed by first-time feature filmmaker Ned Benson, making his feature debut after a few short films including The Westerner and Yes. The film was originally designed as two parts: Him and Her, each one told from the perspective of the other person. Those two separate versions premiered at TIFF last year, and the combined Them version premiered at this year's Cannes Film Festival. TWC will release The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby in select theaters starting September 26th this fall. They will release the combined version first and the others individually.
