'Dolphin Tale 2' Trailer Has More Family Friendly Animal Melodrama
If the first Dolphin Tale just wasn't adorable and cheesy enough for you, the story of the prosthetic-wearing dolphin Winter continues as he faces yet another obstacle to over come in Dolphin Tale 2. Though Winter had his life-saved by Dr. Cameron McCarthy (Morgan Freeman), now his elderly surrogate mother Panama has passed away, leaving him alone and needing a companion in order to comply with USDA regulations. And of course, Winter's human caretakers, including do everything they can to find another dolphin to pair with Winter. However, this first teaser trailer just focuses on the saving of a new dolphin named Hope, since highlighting the death of Panama would be very depressing. Is this Winter's new friend?
Here's the teaser trailer for Charles Martin Smith's Dolphin Tale 2, originally from Apple:
It has been several years since young Sawyer Nelson and the dedicated team at the Clearwater Marine Hospital, headed by Dr. Clay Haskett, rescued Winter. With the help of Dr. Cameron McCarthy, they were able to save her life. Yet their fight is not over. Time is running out to find a companion for her before the team at Clearwater loses their beloved Winter to another aquarium. Morgan Freeman, Nathan Gamble, Ashley Judd and Harry Connick Jr. all return in Dolphin Tale 2, written and directed by Charles Martin Smith (of the original Dolphin Tale), and hitting theaters September 19th.
