Elijah Wood Wrangles a Poet in UK Trailer for 'Set Fire to the Stars'
"How much trouble can one poet be?" In what feels like an independent, artsy version of Get Him to the Greek, the first trailer from the United Kingdom for Set Fire to the Stars has arrived. The true story focuses on literary sensation Dylan thomas, a rock star poet of sorts who was beloved and revered in the 1950s before his life was cut short all too soon. In the film, we find Elijah Wood as John M. Brinnin, a critic and fellow poet from America who is put in charge of managing Thomas (played by Celyn Jones, who also co-wrote the script) as he goes on tour in the United States. It looks dry, but lively and worth a look.
Here's the UK trailer for Andy Goddard's Set Fire to the Stars, originally from The Guardian:
Set Fire to the Stars is directed by Andy Goddard ("Downton Abbey," "Torchwood") who co-wrote the script with Celyn Jones. The film stars Elijah Wood as John M. Brinnin, an American poet and critic who is put in charge of organizing Thomas' first United States tour. Thomas (also played by Jones) proves more than a handful, and the two go into retreat, where Brinnin must save his hero and get him stateside. The film also stars Shirley Henderson and Kelly Reilly and is slated to hit theaters in the United Kingdom next month on November 7th. There's no word on a release in the United States yet, bu stay tuned for updates. Good?
