Little Accients

Right now you can see Elizabeth Banks stripped down of glamor and made plain in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part I, and next you'll be able to see her show off her acting chops in the indie drama Little Accidents. The film is set in a mining town where the disappearance of a teenage boy draws together a surviving miner, the lonely wife of a mine executive, and a local boy in a web of secrets. It looks like standard indie fare, but it's always nice to see an eclectic actress like Banks turn in what seems to be a solid performance by the looks of this trailer. Boyd Holbrook also stars in the film, and you can watch below!

Here's the first trailer for Sara Colangelo's Little Accidents from YouTube (via The Playlist):

Little Accidents is written and directed by Sara Colangelo, making her feature directorial debut. Tragedy hits a town nestled in the Appalachian Mountains when a mine collapses killing 10 of its workers. Economic crisis has already widened the gap between wealth and poverty in the area and the mining disaster only furthers tensions and distrust. Amos Jenkins is the sole survivor. When he returns home after a lengthy recuperation in the hospital he learns of a court case in which his testimony is crucial to victim compensation. Memory, however, proves unreliable. Elizabeth Banks, Boyd Holbrook, Chloe Sevingy, Jacob Lofland, and Josh Lucas star in the film arriving on VOD and in limited theaters on January 16th, 2015.

this looks good......and i'll take "standard indie fare" instead of sensationalized, over-hyped super-hero nonsense any day.
  • Looks depressing, but that doesn't mean it looks bad.

Looks great, but I will probably pass. Already filled my quota for depressing movies for the year.

    This looks solid.
