Following a debut at Fantastic Fest last year, the indie sci-fi flick Coherence is coming to limited theaters and VOD this summer, and the first teaser trailer has just debuted. It's a teaser in every sense of the word, showing barely anything from the film itself, but various quotes from critics who have seen the film promise something truly mind-bending. With a claim that says the film does for quantum physics what Shane Carruth's Primer did for time travel, this looks just as intriguing as any blockbuster you might see on the big screen. And if the teaser doesn't get you interested, there's also a clip we think is worth seeing. Watch now!
Here's the first teaser trailer for James Byrkit's sci-fi Coherence, found via YouTube:
And here's a clip for the film that shows a bit more of the film, found via Badass Digest:
On the night a comet is passing near Earth, what starts as a simple dinner party turns into a sci-fi meltdown. When the power goes out, eight friends discover that the only house on the street left with power also holds many secrets. After investigating the illuminated house, a locked metal box is discovered and while the group tries to decipher the meaning of the box and its contents, tension rises and emotions get heated. Meanwhile, another party is dispatched to the strange house only to discover an even stranger phenomenon. Coherence is written and directed by James Byrkit, stars Emily Baldoni, Maury Sterling, Nicholas Brendon, Elizabeth Gracen and more. The film played Fantastic Fest and hits limited theaters and VOD June 20th.
