Hot Tub Time Machine 2

"Why mess with a winning formula?" Paramount Pictures surprised everyone with the first footage of their comedy sequel Hot Tub Time Machine 2, which arrives just in time for everyone to catch the family friendly comedy at Christmas. But seriously, don't watch this with your family, and don't watch the first red band trailer with them either. We get to see what Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson and Clark Duke are up to now that they have knowledge of the future, and the murder of Corddry's internet mogul character sets them off on another time traveling adventure to the future, the past and much more. Looks like a lot of fun with a feel that is almost like a raunchy version of It's a Wonderful Life for the holiday season. Watch now!

Here's the first red band trailer for Hot Tub Time Machine 2, originally from IGN:

Hot Tub Time Machine 2 is directed by Steve Pink (Hot Tub Time Machine, About Last Night) and written by the original film's writer Josh Heald. This time Rob Corddry finds his life threatened, and he has to travel to the past along with Clark Duke and Craig Robinson in order to save his life. But soon they learn that the time machine doesn't take them where they want to go, but takes them where they need to go. Adam Scott, Gillian Jacobs, Thomas Lennon, Jason Jones and Chevy Chase (but not John Cusack)  also star in the comedy sequel which Paramount Pictures releases this holiday season on Christmas Day. Funny stuff?

Shame they only got 3 of them back. Looks funny though.

    No Cusack...weak.
    • Brian Sleider
Guess he had more B-rates to star in rather than be in a popular movie that will probably see reasonable box office success. Sad really guy has always been a pretty good actor.
      • Xerxexx
He picks some very questionable roles.
        • grimjob
Cusack and Cage have had very strange careers.
          • Xerxexx
Oh indeed. They starred together only once oddly enough...unless I missed something.
          • grimjob
You got me curious, so I did a little research. Which of course means I googled "...starring John Cusack and Nic Cage." The Frozen Ground from last year. I certainly missed it.
          • Xerxexx
            ...I did the same.
      • MrKuel
Cusack, Jeremy Piven and Director Steve Pink all went to high school together. He was the most successful until Piven hit it big with Entourage. the sour with him and Piven could have spilled over. Cusack was cool in school but became a tool in Hollyweird.

But...this looks more insane than the first one and Corddry and Robinson singing was amazing. I'll see it. Wonder if they'll explain Cusack absence.
  • rolyjimenez
so... were we just told the ending in the last part of the trailer?
    • zspang
      I said the same thing!
    • orangutanklaus
      same thought ...
  • Jon Odishaw
Well they certainly aren't wasting any potential with time travel and all. Sad that John isn't back. But I loved the first one so I will watch this one. Corddry was the best part of the first one anyhow.
  • hi hello
0 funny moments. Worst then the first. Looks Awful .
  • tommyturner
    Maybe Cusack is the KILLER!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Avi
the first one I watched 30 minits, to much filth and unnecessary gore (putting your finger in a dog's ass?) but this looks again nice. Maybe!

Very common for individuals in the field of animal care.

It's been a long time since a comedy movie trailer made me laugh out loud. This looks just if not more hilarious than the first one. I don't think much is missed without Cusack. These 3 carry it just fine.
  • TheOct8pus
    You're a nerd....a #@$#ing nerd....
  • Aaron Miller
youre not going to be super welcome but lets go lol
  • Cusack was smart enough to avoid this.
  • YES!!!! Looks freaking hilarious!!!!
