It's been two years since Susanne Bier wrapped production on the period drama Serena, but the film has sat on a shelf without any indication of when it might finally hit theaters. It's already been released across the pond, and now the US trailer has finally arrived with the film getting released early next year. Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper reteam again in the story of George (Cooper) and Serena Pemberton (Lawrence), love-struck newly-weds, who begin to build a timber empire. However, once Serena discovers George’s hidden past and faces an unchangeable fate of her own, their marriage begins to unravel. Watch it!

Here's the first US trailer for Susanne Bier's Serena, originally from Chideo:

If you haven't seen it yet, check out the Serena trailer from the United Kingdom right here.

Serena is directed by Oscar-winner Susanne Bier (In a Better World, Things We Lost in the Fire) from a screenplay by Christopher Kyle (Alexander) adapting Ron Rash's novel of the same name. The film follows newlyweds George (Bradley Cooper) and Serena Pemberton (Jennifer Lawrence) who travel from Boston to the mountains of North Carolina where they begin to build a timber empire in 1929. Together, this king and queen rule their dominion, killing or vanquishing all in their way. But when Serena learns that she can never bear a child, she sets out to murder the woman who bore George a son before his marriage. Magnolia Pictures releases the film on iTunes/ VOD on February 26th, 2015 and in theaters March 27th, 2015.

I don't care if the movie/director was not great, Jennifer Lawrence can do no wrong on a screen! I'm definitely buying the bluray/dvd and watching it like 100 times cause she is in it.
Lawrence looks so cute with that short hair cut. I hope it makes a showing here.

I don't know what to say. Looks typical. And a bit mediocre... Yeah, J. Lawrence looks nice, but so are many other women/girls. Shouldn't be acting more than that...

Thought this movie would never come out. Good to see it finally found a date to be released.
