Joaquin Phoenix Loves John C. Reilly as Dr. Steve Brule in 'Her' Parody

Her with Dr. Steve Brule

If you thought parodies of the Best Picture nominated Her ended after Jonah Hill spoofed the trailer on "Saturday Night Live" or after HAL 9000 was added as the love interest in a trailer remix online, you thought wrong. Though it's not exactly topical or timely, this latest spoof of Spike Jonze's techno romance starring Joaquin Phoenix and the voice of Scarlett Johansson was just too goofy and funny too pass up. On the other side of the phone is John C. Reilly as the peculiar and dim-witted Adult Swim character Dr. Steve Brule, who started on "Tim & Eric: Awesome Show, Great Job!" It's adorable and hilarious. Watch!

Here's the parody of Spike Jonze's Her brought to our attention by Tim Heidecker:

Set in LA, slightly in the future, Her follows Theodore Twombly, a complex, soulful man who makes his living writing touching, personal letters for other people. Heartbroken after the end of a long relationship, he becomes intrigued with a new, advanced operating system, which promises to be an intuitive entity in its own right, individual to each user. Upon initiating it, he is delighted to meet Samantha, a bright, female voice, who is insightful, sensitive and surprisingly funny. As her needs and desires grow, in tandem with his own, their friendship deepens into an eventual love for each other. Written & directed by Spike Jonze (Being John Malkovich, Where the Wild Things Are). Warner Bros. has released the film on Blu-Ray & DVD.

Her is one of the worst, most overated films I have ever seen. A loser falls in love with his operating system then finds out his operating system also loves a bazillion other losers like him the end.
