Josh Gad & Kevin Hart Plot Matrimony Lies 'Wedding Ringer' Trailer
Though awards season is just around the corner, with plenty of hopeful quality movie like Interstellar, Foxcatcher and Gone Girl hitting theaters, the dumping ground of January and February is coming, which means we're getting trailers for those movies too. The Wedding Ringer doesn't really look abysmal, but it certainly doesn't look all that funny in this new trailer. As someone who loves Josh Gad, but doesn't enjoy Kevin Hart, the two stars cancel each other out for me. But I will concede that the joke about the fake groomsmen and The Goonies actually made me laugh out loud, so maybe there's hope for this one. Watch?
Here's the new trailer for Jeremy Garelick's The Wedding Ringer from Sony Pictures:
The Wedding Ringer is directed by Jeremy Garelick (co-writer of The Break-Up), who co-wrote the script with Jay Lavender. Jimmy (Kevin Hart) provides best man services for socially challenged guys, who have no one close enough to stand by them at their wedding. Doug (Josh Gad), a groom-to-be, has found himself in just such a situation and finds himself in need of not only a best man but nine groomsmen as well. When all else fails, Doug seeks out Jimmy’s services to carry out a charade to make the lie real, but it threatens to destroy everything if it fails. Kaley Cuoco, Olivia Thirlby, Mimi Rogers, Whitney Cummings, Cloris Leachman and Jorge Garcia star in the film which Sony Pictures releases on January 26th, 2015. Well?
