The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part I

"Show them what it costs to be friends with Katniss Everdeen." We're just under a couple weeks away from the release of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part I, the beginning of the end for Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and the rebellion she sparked against The Capitol. Now a new TV spot has emerged, complete with a menacing threat from President Snow (Donald Sutherland), and a showcase of the big action to come. Plus, it wouldn't be a Hunger Games movie if Katniss didn't scream in peril for her sister Prim, so we get to hear that again too. It's almost time for one of the biggest movies of the fall! The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part I is the first movie in the two-part finale of The Hunger Games franchise, based on the books by Suzanne Collins. In this chapter we follow heroine Katniss Everdeen's (Jennifer Lawrence) journey as she leads the districts of Panem in a rebellion against the tyrannical and corrupt Capitol. As the war that will determine the fate of Panem escalates, Katniss must decipher for herself who she can trust and what needs to be done, with everything she cares for in the balance. Francis Lawrence directs the adaptation written by Danny Strong and Lionsgate releases the film November 21st.
