Kristen Bell Spies Again as 'Veronica Mars' on a Photographic Poster
We've already seen the theatrical trailer meant to introduce fans and audiences to the film adaptation of the cult favorite TV series Veronica Mars. Now we have the first poster touting the return of Kristen Bell, called back to private investigating again, along with a whole slew of other issues in her hometown. The poster isn't amazing, but we're glad they figured out a unique way to show off the supporting cast (probably for fans, rather than general audiences), without using floating heads. Anyway, we're still not sure this film will perform outside of the niche audience that supported it on Kickstarter to get it produced, but we'll see.
Here's the first poster for Rob Thomas' Veronica Mars, originally from Yahoo:
Veronica Mars is written and directed by Rob Thomas, creator of the original TV series which lasted three seasons on The CW. Kristen Bell returns as the titular private investigator, who returns to Neptune, California, years after walking away from her past as a teenage private eye. But suddenly, she gets pulled back to her hometown, an ex-boyfriend with baggage, and an unraveling murder mystery. The film was given life after a successful Kickstarter campaign prompted support from Warner Bros. for distribution. Series cast members returning include Enrico Colantoni, Jason Dohring, Percy Daggs III, Chris Lowell, Tina Majorino and Ken Marino. Warner Bros. sends the film to select theaters March 14th. Anyone excited?
