Maggie Grace Dares to Get Back with Liam Neeson Again for 'Taken 3'
Whether you want it or not, Taken 3 is still coming, with the studio so desperately wanting a sequel that they're paying Liam Neeson $20 million to do it. We already know Taken 2 director Oliver Megaton will be back to direct, and Forest Whitaker will be getting in on the action somehow, and now we have another returning cast member from the franchise. Deadline reports that Maggie Grace will be back in the sequel to reprise her role as Kim, daughter of Neeson's deadly Bryan Mills. Will she get caught up in the danger again, or will she just have a small part? That remains to be seen, but it's safe to say she won't be taken.
The question is where is this franchise going now? Bad guys have already taken Mills' daughter in the first film, and his wife (Famke Janssen) and himself in the second film. Maybe they'll kidnap Mills' second favorite cousin? Or maybe Mills gets a big time job and someone important is kidnapped. In the end, it doesn't really matter since everyone just wants to see Neeson kick ass. But if we get another sequel as shitty as the second one, then it's not going to be fun at all. Either way, we hope this is the last one in the series.
UPDATE: Deadline also adds that Famke Janssen will reprise her role as Liam Neeson's wife in the sequel that has been confirmed to close out a trilogy in the surprisingly successful action franchise. Still no story details, but stay tuned for more.
