Matt Damon Confirms Return of Jason Bourne on Big Screen in 2016
Back in September, we got the surprising news that Universal had actually rounded up director Paul Greengrass and his The Bourne Ultimatum and The Bourne Supremacy star Matt Damon to return to the Jason Bourne franchise after previous attempts to get a fourth film with Robert Ludlum's character fell apart years ago. However, a follow-up with producer Frank Marshall cautioned that it might not come together so easily or quickly. But fans can lay their worries to rest as Matt Damon himself has confirmed that he will return for more Bourne, and the film will be hitting the big screen sometime in 2016. Read on!
We actually may owe Ben Affleck for the confirmation, because E! Online was speaking with the Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice star, and he was speaking about Damon, "Well, he's going to be doing a Bourne movie next fall when I've just completely lost any semblance of physical fitness…" So the entertainment and gossip site went to Damon for confirmation and he actually said, "Yes, next year. It'll be in 2016 when the movie will actually come out. Paul Greengrass is going to do another one and that's all I ever said. I just needed him to say yes." So there you go, folks. Jason Bourne will return. Excited?
