The forthcoming sequel Maze Runner: Scorch Trials recently gained a "Game of Thrones" cast member as the main villain in the film, two more new characters have been cast. First of all, to clarify, only Dylan O'Brien, Kaya Scodelario and Thomas Brodie-Sangster have been confirmed to return in the sequel that sees the group of teens outside of the deadly maze and now faced with a new set of challenges for survival in a futuristic world ravaged by devastation and disease. Now THR has two separate reports revealing that Rosa Salazar (who will be seen in Insurgent) and Jacob Lofland (of Mud) will both star in the film. More below!
Salazar, beefing up the female cast by 100%, plays Brenda, a character who runs around with another group of teens (she's also the single female in the pack) and ends up paired with O'Brien's character when both end up on the run in tunnels underneath a city. Meanwhile, Lofland will play Aris Jones, a character who the original stars meet after they escape the maze and learn about his connection to the people who built it. This sequel is coming together quickly with the September 18th, 2015 release date already set.
