Must Watch: Great Red Band 'A Million Ways to Die in the West' Trailer

A Million Ways to Die in the West

"The American West is a terrible place and time. Everything out here that's not you, wants to kill you." Following yesterday's funny character posters for Seth MacFarlane's western comedy A Million Ways to Die in the West, we have the first red band trailer for the summer comedy. It's not a straight-up parody, but it doesn't shy away from showing the Wild West through a contemporary lens, and it's funny as hell. Most of the trailer focuses on the terrible danger people faced in the time period, where everyone died from everything. Charlize Theron, Neil Patrick Harris, Amanda Seyfried, Liam Neeson and Sarah Silverman are all in on the fun. And there's Giovanni Ribisi dancing like a creep again. Watch it!

Here's the red band trailer for Seth MacFarlane's A Million Ways to Die in the West from YouTube:

A Million Ways to Die in the West is directed by Seth MacFarlane and written by "Family Guy" collaborators and Ted co-writers Wellesley Wild and Alec Sulkin. After a cowardly sheep farmer (MacFarlane) backs out of a gunfight, his fickle girlfriend leaves him for another man. When a mysterious and beautiful woman (Theron) rides into town, she helps him find his courage and they begin to fall in love. When her husband, a notorious outlaw, arrives seeking revenge, the farmer must put his newfound courage to the test. Charlize Theron, Neil Patrick Harris, Amanda Seyfriend, Sarah Silverman, Giovanni Ribisi and Liam Neeson also star in the film which Universal Pictures will release in theaters everywhere on May 30th, 2014. Well?

I feel like I just saw the whole movie.....

Yea I'm sure they fit every joke into 3 mins.

I accidentally liked this because I thought you were being serious, not sarcastic. Because Seth mcfarlane takes three minutes worth of jokes and turns it into a twenty minute episode of garbage and people eat it up.

Have you seen the movie yet to officially answer that speculation? There are many trailers for comedies that just crams in the best jokes within the entire trailer just ruining the film experience. It's not uncommon at all. I will say it just felt a little too long with this trailer that it seemed so just to grab attention. It could have stopped at like 2:30 or 1:30 and it would still have been a great trailer.

Can't wait to see this wipe its ass with Blended.

I'm on a Sarah Silverman sabbatical. I feel smarter already.

Looks funny, I personally am a fan of the Seth MacFarlane brand of comedy, so I'll probably enjoy this. Not sure if I'll go to a theater and see it though

Oh wow, MacFarlane was the absolute worst part of this trailer. What an awful actor.

Rick on Jan 30, 2014

MacFarlane better as an voice actor otherwise the movie looks ok

you folk are really harsh. Honestly any comments on Seth as an actor and you are really fucking missing the point of the movie. I don't think the folks who backed his movie expect his acting to be any good. Just needs to be funny. It looks hilarious. Who cares if the some of the good jokes are in the trailer and how would anyone know those were just the best ones without watching the movie? I remember the trailer for Super Bad. It looked like only the good jokes were in that trailer and the movie was fucking hilarious. His brand of honour is really not for everyone but he cracks me up. It kinda plays out like a real life version of Family Guy. So.. im in. 🙂
