The Raid 2: Berandal

Following an extensive 10-minute featurette for this month's anticipated release of the intense action sequel The Raid 2: Berandal (which we caught at Sundance) a new online only trailer has emerged that will hit you hard. This flick is about two and a half hours long, and you will be exhausted after watching all of the incredible action and fight sequences. And if you don't believe me, our own Alex Billington has some praise that shows up in this trailer calling the film "an astonishing work of cinema that defies the limits of action movies." I couldn't agree more. Hell, this trailer might make you tired after you check it out. Watch below!

Here's the new trailer for Gareth Evans' The Raid 2: Berandal from IGN:

The Raid 2: Berandal, the sequel to The Raid, is written and directed by Welsh born filmmaker Gareth Evans who also directed the first film. Starring Iko Uwais, Arifin Putra, Alex Abad, Oka Antara, Tio Pakusadewo, Julie Estelle, Cecep Arif Rahman, Cok Simbara, Yayan Ruhian, Matsuda Ryuhei, Endo Kenichi, and Kitamura Kazuki, the film features our lead character Rama (Uwais) going undercover and infiltrating the ranks of a ruthless Jakarta crime syndicate in order to protect his family and uncover the corruption in his own police force. The film premieres at Sundance, and Sony Pictures Classics will release March 28th.

Meh, feels like a waste of time to pay a ticket to go to a theater then you end up having to read a bunch o subtitles considering how long this movie is, can't even look at your phone to check for any messages in the theater just have to constanly read endless subtitles cause no speeaky englisho blah blah. I have seen better fights in WWE anyway, now that is real action in reality. Anyways I'll wait for the American remake that doesn't have silly subtitles and has actors that I can relate more towards. Am not usually up for remakes but I'll probably enjoy a remake of The Raid more than the original.

What do you seriously have against the Step Up films? It's pure talent that is put into the making of films like those not plastered with pointless CGI effects and shaky camera work everywhere.

But.. the pure fighting talent, and the lack of pointless CGI effects and shaky camera work, are the exact reasons why I love this movie so much.
