New Bits of Footage in 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' Japanese Trailer

X-Men: Days of Future Past

Hot on the heels of the most recent final theatrical trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past, which is less than a month away from hitting theaters, there's a new Japanese trailer that has the same vibe, but shows off some bits of new footage, mostly with Asian superstar Fan Bingbing as the portal-making mutant Blink. It looks like she'll make the fight against the Sentinels pretty damn cool, and there's a good amount of Jennifer Lawrence showing off here as well. And while this Japanese trailer uses the same orchestral Led Zeppelin cue, the editing doesn't work with it, and feels oddly paced. But there's cool stuff to see. Watch!

Here's the Japanese trailer for Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past from YouTube:

X-Men: Days of Future Past is directed by Bryan Singer and written by Matthew Vaughn and Simon Kinberg. The sequel features cast members from the original X-Men franchise like Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Halle Berry, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore and Daniel Cudmore along with X-Men: First Class cast members like James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, and Michael Fassbender. The present day X-Men are in danger from a mistake in the past, and Wolverine is sent back in time to fix it in order to avoid a dark, terrifying future timeline. Fox will release Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past everywhere starting on May 23rd this summer. We can't wait. How does this one look?

I'm still conflicted with this one, Singer behind the helm, uhhhh, let's hope for the best.

Yea, bc X1 and X2 were bad movies...
      • They weren't great. They're good in spite of him, not because of him. They're products of their time from a studio that doesn't trust the source material and forces change down the director's throat. Look at those two films and compare them to the rebirth of comic book material that comes from Spider-Man and Iron Man. Singer hasn't made a good film in 12 years. Really he's 3 for 11... that's a TERRIBLE standard.

Okay to begin with, he's only made 9 films. In those 12 years you're referring to (it's actually 11 but we'll let that slide) he's only made 3 films. Granted Valkyrie was the best of a poor bunch but I really don't get all the Singer hate. How can you say x1/2 were good in spite of him? what possible basis can you have for saying that?? Did you work on the set? Did you keep seeing him down your local when he should have been working? Also most film directors direct their fair share of crud, Ridley Scott directed Legend/Body of lies, Tarentino directed Deathproof. Coppola directed the godfather 3. Give singer a break. I'd say X2 is deservedly viewed as one of the best comic book movies.

X1 & 2 are just not put together well. Any director helming a comic book movie needs vision like Anthony and Joe Russo.

Iron Man movies were all awful. Original Spider Man were fine (even the third one that aggravated fan boys so much). Reboot 1 seems kind of pointless. X-Men were better than Spider Man, given special effects were less advanced when they were made. I even didn't think X-Men 3 was bad.

It's a matter of opinion whether X1 and X2 are great movies. No one person's opinion determines that, including X3 which IMO is criticized quite over dramatically. X1 was good IMO and X2 was great! X3 was just ok, but by no means a bad movie IMO like most make it seem. Fan boys constantly complain that directors and movie studios that make comic book films don't follow the source material, but they do, just not the way most of you want it to. At the end of the day, it makes no sense to want the same story told the same way over and over again. From comic book to cartoon to film. Don't you think it would get pretty redundant and predictable after a while? The same is down w/ books and everything else that's not comic book related.

Feel the same way. He's great at trailers, bad at movies as a whole.

Ok thats the last one. If i see one more trailer with Quick Silver, i will NOT go watch the movie cause he bothers me so much. Bishop looks cool though.
    • he looks cool, his gun looks like one of the props from the Youtube Video "dubstep guns"
  • X-Men: Future and Past... nice concise rewording...
I don't care about any of those new mutants.

Anybody else hear about the whole Singer raping a teenage boy story? Alleged I should say

Shakedown for money. Keep in mind this is a civil suit for monetary compensation, not a criminal case. Singer claims to have documentation as well as 100 eyewitnesses proving he wasn't in Hawaii at the time, which I assume he will present as evidence in court should the case go to trial. I believe Singer is planning to counter sue with a claim for malicious prosecution against Egan and his attorney. The accuser already sued a group of men over the same alleged incidents back in 2000. But he never mentioned Singer at the time or any of the recent men he's accusing now. He got no money from that lawsuit but now with Singer and the others combined, he's asking for 10+ million.

Exactly. When you want to grab a burger in Tokyo, you go to the "Maccadonaldo"! You got to love the Japanese!

QuickBadCosplaySilver keeps getting me out of it. And yes the future sentinels look and seem to attack just the way the Destroyer from Thor did in the movie and comics.

She's spot on the comic book character.
