Now Jonah Hill & Miles Telller Want to Star in 'Arms and the Dudes'
Though previous reports pegged Shia LaBeouf and Jesse Eisenberg as taking the two lead roles in Arms and the Dudes, a film being produced by director Todd Phillips (The Hangover, Old School) and Bradley Cooper through their new production banner, it appears both actors have fallen away from the project. Eisenberg was already rumored to reprise his Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice role as Lex Luthor in the upcoming Suicide Squad (which just confirmed an impressive cast) and LaBeouf never entered formal negotiations. But their replacements sounds pretty damn great with Academy Award nominee Jonah Hill signed on and popular young star Miles Teller entering talks to join in the fun.
THR has the report on Hill locking down his role in the film about two stoners living in Miami Beach who become big-time arms dealers with a $300 million contract to supply weapons for its allies in Afghanistan. While the two found fast success as arms dealers, they also found themselves in trouble abroad and in the United States with the Pentagon, quickly learning that they were absolutely out of their league. The Wrap has the addition of Teller entering talks for the second lead role, and if he signs on, this will quickly be a very anticipated film. Oh, and Phillips has also decided to direct the film from a script that he's still working on with Jason Smilovic. Could Hill and Teller be the next big duo?
