Scarlett Johansson Isn't in the Mood in International Trailer for 'Lucy'

May 13, 2014

"What happens when she reaches 100%?" Following the first US trailer for Luc Besson's action thriller Lucy last month, a new international trailer shows off even more of Scarlett Johansson kicking ass with her body and mind. It's been awhile since we've gotten a truly fun and great film like this from Besson, but this looks to bring him back to the top of his game. The abilities that Johansson is able to unlock as the capacity of her brain increases make for a cool protagonist, and the fact that it's someone as lovely and badass as Johansson is just icing on the cake. Too bad the flick doesn't come out until August. Watch below!

Here's the international trailer for Luc Besson's Lucy from YouTube:

Lucy is written and directed by Luc Besson (director of The Fifth Element and The Professional, writer of the Taken and Transporter franchises). The film follows a woman (Scarlett Johansson) forced to become a drug mule. But rather than just carrying the drug, it enters her system and turns her into a lethal vixen who can absorb knowledge with ease, move things with her mind, see into the future, and doesn't feel any pain at all. Morgan Freeman also stars in the film Universal Pictures sends to theaters on August 8th. Excited?

Interesting idea... butttttttttttttttttttttttttttt...... 1) No computer can really go that fast to produce information so while she may have read all the doctors information on brain capacity, the scene where the computer is like flipping screens while she only types a few key strokes... bs. 2) The 10% brain is a myth. Couldn't they come up with a slightly better explanation as to why her brain was evolving? And how the hell does using more of her brian allow her to defy physics? WTF? 3) Story seems like a rip off the of other movie - Limitless w/ Bradley Cooper 4) Not a fan of Scarlett J since the movie The Island....

    I guess this is a spin-off of X-men?

Why would she call the prof knowing she would get into trouble, instead of just getting more of that blue stuff, killing all the baddies and live happily ever after in a billionaires mansion without anyone bothering her?

  • Limitless meets Xmen??
