Seth Rogen to Play Steve Wozniak in Danny Boyle's Steve Jobs Biopic
For anyone who had a bet going that Christian Bale would never star in a movie with Seth Rogen, the game is over. We already know that Christian Bale has been confirmed to play Steve Jobs in a biopic set up at Sony Pictures with Slumdog Millionaire director Danny Boyle at the helm with a script from Aaron Sorkin. Now the rest of the cast is starting to fill out around Bale as Variety reports none other than Seth Rogen will Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, the once right hand man to Jobs and designer of both the Apple I and Apple II computers in the late 1970s. This is a role far different than we've ever seen from Rogen. Read on!
Rogen has rarely ventured outside of comedy with the only more serious roles being in Take This Waltz and the forthcoming The Sound and the Fury, so having him take this pivotal role in what will likely be an Oscar contender is a pretty big deal. This is something akin to friend and colleague Jonah Hill's work in Moneyball or The Wolf of Wall Street. In addition, the trade notes that Jessica Chastain is also being courted for a role, which could be for Lisa Jobs, wife of the film's subject, or maybe another role completely. This is shaping up to be quite the interesting project. Thoughts?
