Briefly: After Luc Besson's action thriller Lucy with Scarlett Johansson moved into the July 25th release weekend, one of the other films that was slated to arrive at the same time is hitting theaters a week earlier. While against Dwayne Johnson as Hercules and the dance sequel Step Up All In will still arrive that date, the R-rated comedy Sex Tape starring Jason Segel and Cameron Diaz will be opening on July 18th now instead. That makes it some decent counterprogramming for the action sci-fi Jupiter Ascending, the lame animated Planes: Fire & Rescue and the horror thriller sequel The Purge: Anarchy. That definitely seems to be a much better opening weekend for the flick to pull an audience, but can it take the #1 spot?
