Steve Carell Coaches Channing Tatum in 'Foxcatcher' Teaser Trailer
"I am a patriot. I want to see this country soar again." With a premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, we'll have a review of Bennett Miller's drama Foxcatcher from our own Alex Billington very soon. But in the meantime, watch the first teaser trailer showing off some truly impressive dramatic work from Steve Carell and Channing Tatum. This could very well be a big Oscar contender when the film arrives in theaters this fall, and it could mark a turning point in the dramatic acting career of Tatum, who has shown much more strength in comedy, and also show just how dark Carell can get. It looks spectacular. Watch!
Here's the teaser trailer for Bennett Miller's Foxcatcher from Sony Pictures Classics (via Deadline):
Foxcatcher is directed by Bennett Miller (Capote, Moneyball) and written by Dan Futterman (Capote, "In Treatment") and E. Max Frye ("Band of Brothers"). The film tells the gripping, true story of Olympic Wrestling Champion brothers Mark Schultz & Dave Schultz (Channing Tatum and Mark Ruffalo) and their relationship with eccentric John du Pont (Steve Carell), heir to the du Pont Chemical fortune, that led to a gruesome murder. Sienna Miller, Vanessa Redgrave and Anthony Michael Hall also star in the film which Sony Pictures Classics releases in the heart of awards season on November 14th this fall. Interested?
