Watch: 20-Minutes of Muppets at Work on 'Muppets Most Wanted'
We saw some clever parody posters for Muppets Most Wanted inspired by James Bond and a couple spy thrillers not too long ago, and now we have a cool video that goes behind the scenes of the Disney sequel. But rather than being a glossy featurette, this is just standard B-roll from the set. While this is normally boring to see, when it comes to seeing a movie with the Muppets on set, it's rather fascinating to see how the set is built to accommodate the puppeteers, and also how the actors interact with them in various takes. Plus, it's just a little weird seeing the Muppets when they're not entirely in character, lacking life. Watch it!
Here's the 20-minutes of B-roll footage from James Bobin's Muppets Most Wanted (via Collider):
Muppets Most Wanted is directed by James Bobin (The Muppets) who co-wrote the script with Nicholas Stoller. This time the entire Muppets gang is on a global tour, selling out grand theaters in some of Europe’s most exciting destinations, including Berlin, Madrid and London. But mayhem follows the Muppets overseas, as they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine—the World’s Number One Criminal and a dead ringer for Kermit—and his dastardly sidekick Dominic, aka Number Two (Ricky Gervais). The film also features Ty Burrell, Tina Fey, Ray Liotta and many more with Walt Disney Pictures releasing the film everywhere on March 21st, 2014 next year. Excited?
