The Guest

"I called the army base that David's from. They said he doesn't exist." Following last week's intense trailer for the indie action thriller The Guest from director Adam Wingard and writer Simon Barrett (You're Next), a trailer from across the pond has surfaced, giving us a different look at British "Downton Abbey" star Dan Stevens as a creepily charming visitor. This looks flashy, fun, and has the same retro vibe as Wingard and Barrett's work on the spectacular horror thriller You're Next. Don't be surprised if you see Dan Stevens start getting into some bigger action roles if this film turns out to be a sleeper indie hit. Watch below now!

Here's the new UK trailer for Adam Wingard's The Guest, originally from Yahoo UK:

Synopsis from Sundance: A soldier on leave befriends the family of a fallen comrade. He soon becomes a threat to everyone around him when it's revealed he's not who he says he is. Another version floating around before explains it slightly different: "The story follows an ex-Marine who returns a changed man from a tour of duty and becomes a houseguest to a military family whose eldest son recently died." The cast includes Dan Stevens, Maika Monroe, Leland Orser, Lance Reddick, Chase Williamson and Brendan Meyer. Directed by Adam Wingard, written by Simon Barret (the duo behind A Horrible Way to Die, You're Next, V/H/S 1&2). The Guest premiered at Sundance, and hits select theaters September 17th this fall. Good?
