If the theatrical trailer for David Ayer's World War II drama Fury, which has flares of Saving Private Ryan, didn't convince you to see the film, then maybe the first featurette will do the trick. The film follows Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Michael Pena and Jon Bernthal as the crew of a tank called Fury on a mission where the odds are overwhelmingly not in their favor. This featurette dives into the position each member of the crew has inside the tank, giving us just a hint of what their character has to offer in the film. It also explains how Lerman comes to end up inside Fury for this mission. Watch below!

Here's the first featurette for David Ayer's Fury, originally from Apple:

Written & directed by David Ayer (Street Kings, End of Watch), Fury follows a crew of Americans who embark on a brave mission. As the Allies make their final push, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany. Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Michael Pena, Jon Bernthal and Jason Isaacs star in the film which Columbia Pictures has set for release October 17th early this fall.

Wow this looks stunning... Based on that few fleeting moments I sense an Oscar nomination for young Logan Lerman.
  • whoa!
The more glimpses I get of this movie, the more intrigued I am and highly anticipate seeing it as soon as it comes out October 17th. The cast is top notch. I'm in total agreement with Zack's comment that young Lerman may get an Oscar nom. Just look at the terror and anguish he emotes in every scene. There are many intense moments and although it has what seems to be plenty of action, it looks like it will be very character-driven as well. I'm hoping this will closely tanks right up there with Saving Private Ryan. We haven't yet had a war film come close but this looks very promising, indeed.

I really hope this pushes Logan Lerman into the spotlight in the way that The Perks of Being a Wallflower should have. The kid is wildly talented.

I love war films and this looks awesome! I will be seeing it for sure.

I'm so proud of Logan!! He's starring with the likes of Brad Pitt in an epic-looking war movie that's been getting Oscar buzz. What looks like to be another riveting performance from him, along with his great past performances, he better finally get the huge recognition he deserves, dammit!

are you his mother or something? (nice profile pic)

I'm a big fan. Do you have a problem with that?
        • JBrotsis
Nope, no problem. I'm still cautious about watching him. He's had some fairly good roles (like say Gamer) but then he's been in a lot of "bad" movies too (or heavy kid friendly movies).
I am so pumped to see this. I still can't believe it came together so fast. These trailers are fantastic.
  • WW2 had the best outfits. That feature was bonus!

this is certainly After interstellar my most anticipated movie. The combination Ayer, Pitt is for me a must watch!

Looks like research has been done thoroughly in front of this movie, from everything from roles in a tank, to honoring the people who actually fought the war. I am hoping this will be a good testimony to a warfare that we will never see the likes of again. One respectful modern time battlefield clash. Stoked!
