"I'm his biggest fan, and I fired him." If you're a loyal follower of the NBC comedy series "Community," then you likely know about the tumultuous times the series creator Dan Harmon had behind the scenes with plenty of people. From former series regular Chevy Chase to NBC executives, Harmon became known for being a somewhat difficult guy to work with, and it turns out that just might be a regular thing. A new documentary called Harmontown premieres at SXSW this month, and it follows a comedy tour Harmon did recently mixed in with talking heads from Joel McHale, Jack Black, Sarah Silverman and more, painting a better picture of Harmon's life, career and personality. It looks pretty fascinating. Watch below!

Here's the trailer for Neil Berkeley's Harmontown from Nerdist:

Harmontown is a documentary film directed by Neil Berkeley and follow TV writer and producer Dan Harmon (of NBC’s “Community” and Adult Swim’s “Rick and Morty”) as he takes his popular podcast of the same name on a calamitous cross-country tour.  Much more than a comedy-tour documentary, the film also uses talking heads from Jack Black, Joel McHale, Sarah Silverman, Alison Brie and more to reveal Harmon’s public persona, complex character and his equally complex personal relationships. The documentary is premiering at SXSW on March 8th, but doesn't have an official theatrical release date yet. Interested?

  • Wow. I had no idea why he was fired before this. This trailer made me want to hit the gym and shave.
Rough. I thought it was going to be a lot different. // Conan did this first.

So weird to actually see the stuff from the podcast in video form. I'm looking forward to this, after hearing about them talk about it on the show for so long.
