Harry Potter vs. the World border=

Back in June, before Guardians of the Galaxy had stormed the box office with the best August opening on record, a YouTube user known as The Usual Suspect put together an incredible trailer edit of the Star Wars trilogy inspired by the Marvel cosmic adventure. It was an awesome way to present the classic trilogy with a fresh style. Now that editor has given the same treatment to the Harry Potter franchise by using footage from all the wizarding movies, but this time in the frame of the trailer for Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. It makes us wonder what an energized, fast-paced Harry Potter would be like from Edgar Wright.

Here's the trailer for Harry Potter vs. the World from The Usual Suspect (via io9):

And just in case you've forgotten, here's the original Scott Pilgrim vs. the World trailer:

It's too perfect that in the Harry Potter universe, our heroes had to destroy seven horcruxes in order to kill Lord Voldemort, and Scott Pilgrim had to kill seven evil exes in order to finally win over Ramona Flowers. Obviously the comic book graphics and text in the trailer could be just a little better, but it really doesn't detract from how great of an edit this is. The Usual Suspect has a penchant for timing, especially when it comes to comedy, and he's one of the better trailer mash-ups contributors we've seen in recent years. We're excited to see what he comes up with next. I'm betting Lord of the Rings could use some kind of update.
