13 Sins

Down in Austin, Texas, the film and music festival South by Southwest is coming to a close, and the two big winners were Sarah-Violet Bliss and Charles Rogers' Fort Tilden in the Narrative Feature Competition and Margaret Brown's The Great Invisible in the Documentary Feature Competition. But there were plenty of other great films that premiered down South, and we have a red band trailer for the midnight premiere 13 Sins starring Mark Webber (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World). It's a horror flick where a mysterious phone call sets a downtrodden salesman on a dangerous series of tasks that prove to be pretty gruesome. Watch it!

Here's the red band trailer for Daniel Stamm's 13 Sins from Radius-TWC:

13 Sins is directed by Daniel Stamm (The Last Exorcism) from a script he co-wrote with David Birke (Freeway Killer). A cryptic phone call sets off a dangerous game of risks for Elliot (Mark Webber of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World), a down-on-his luck salesman. The game promises increasing rewards for completing 13 tasks, each more sinister than the last. Ron Perlman, Tom Power, Rutina Wesley, Devon Graye, Pruitt Taylor Vince and Richard Burgi also star in the film which premiered at SXSW in the Midnight section, and Radius-TWC releases the film on VOD on March 14th and limited theaters on April 18th. Scary stuff?

Lemme guess... the 13th sin is to kill himself. And I wouldn't label this as horror. Just blood and gore.

as long as Ron Perlman is in it, does any of that matter?
      • Nash
True, Perlman is great, but the trailer shows way too much. Only question left is what the 13th sin is, and that indeed may be suicide.

Getting tired of seeing SXSW attached to everything.

Ins't this a remake of a Thai movie, though? I think I heard of movie exactly like this 2 years ago, but it was either from Thailand or the Philippines. It looks nice enough, I'll watch it.
