Jupiter Ascending

"You've been searching for one thing your whole life, and she's down there." Following a revealing second trailer for Andy & Lana Wachowski's wild sci-fi action flick Jupiter Ascending, some more footage has just been unveiled thanks to a new trailer from France. We get to see some more action with Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis, along with some more of the cool sci-fi landscapes and set pieces. Even if this movie flops like Cloud Atlas, it truly looks like it will be something to behold on the big screen. The story is simple, but the scope is wide, and we hope that some audiences give this original sci-fi a shot. Watch now!

New international trailer for Andy & Lana Wachowski's Jupiter Ascending from Warner Bros. France:

Jupiter Ascending is written and directed by filmmaker siblings Andy Wachowski & Lana Wachowski, the duo behind Bound, the Matrix trilogy, Speed Racer and Cloud Atlas just last year. Official synopsis: In a universe where humans are near the bottom of the evolutionary ladder, a young destitute human woman is targeted for assassination by the Queen of the Universe because her very existence threatens to end the Queen's reign. The cast includes Sean Bean, Eddie Redmayne, Douglas Booth, James D'Arcy and Doona Bae. Warner Bros will open Jupiter Ascending in theaters everywhere July 18th this summer, right after Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Watch the original US trailer. "Some lives will always matter more than others."

no giggles in the trailer which is worrying, i prefer to see guardians of galaxy instead.

is your goal as a "troll" to include the word "giggle" in every comment?

arthur is a very strange guy who's afraid of his own shadow so be gentle on the guy...or girl...hard to tell he's so near hysterics in most of his sod...

Every scene in that trailer with Kunis makes me cringe.. awful casting choice but I am hopeful that I am wrong

    Elfs in space... ahhhh yeah!

    This looks like a bomb.

Looks bad, it might just be the trailers, or Wachowski's are going down the same road with Shyamalan.
    • Nah. Cloud Atlas was good. It just required people to think while they are watching a movie. Obviously looking at the success of superhero movies, that kinda proves my point. 😉
I dug CLOUD ATLAS, this looks like it could be even better. Such audacity.

I sort of liked this movie --- back when it was called "Star Wars"

I think this will be an epic space fantasy that will surprise a few people. It looks really good. Unfortunately though, I predict this will be a box office flop.
  • In all honesty, I loved Cloud Atlas. I really did. Brilliant casting there. And while i will still give this a shot, the choice of actors is just making this look like one giant pile of a joke. Tatum has that typical dumb, stoner expression. That elf makeup dont help either. And Kunis?? Completely overrated in EVERY aspect. She's neither hot, nor can she act nor does she look interesting. I think with a better cast, this could have been maybe a lot better. And yeah, I have a feeling it wont do that well at the BO.
