Movies 2014

We're getting ready to take a break for Christmas, but that doesn't mean we're done looking back at all of the films that grabbed our attention in 2014. So far there's been some fantastic retrospective videos showcasing the hundreds of films that hit theaters this year, but we've still got a few more to show off. This time it's Ukranian editor Nikita Malko delivering Movies 2014 (not to be confused with Nick Kinder's Movies of 2014 video). There's over 300 films on display in just over eight minutes of footage from films like Lucy, Noah, Birdman, Frank and plenty of other films that don't have one word titles. Watch it below!

Here's the retrospective video Movies 2014 from Nikita Malko (via The Playlist):

Nikita Malko put together a little blog about how he puts a video like this together, but since he's Ukranian, we had to translate the page (you can read through the mostly decipherable translation here). There's a lot of work that goes into a video like this, and it's not just downloading the trailers and throwing them into a jumble. With a video like this, you're basically making a giant movie trailer for 2014, and there are endless ways to make all these different movies blend together. This one is definitely impressive, and if you need to know a list of all the movies and music used in the video, check out Malko's blog right here. Cool video?

I love me some retrospective edits. Even if they lie to me, making me feel like even the worst movies of the year were worth the ride.
