Zach Galifianakis & Jon Hamm Will Try 'Keeping Up with the Joneses'
After making waves across the internet by having President Barack Obama on "Between Two Ferns," comedian Zach Galifianakis is teaming up with Bridesmaids and "Mad Men" star Jon Hamm for a new comedy from Superbad director Greg Mottola. THR has word that Fox 2000 has just picked up a project called Keeping Up with the Joneses about a couple living the dream in an idyllic suburban neighborhood who learn that their seemingly perfect neighbors are actually undercover agents. We're betting Hamm is the husband secret agent while Galifianakis is the patriarch of the neighboring household.
Funnily enough, Jon Hamm appeared on "Between Two Ferns" years ago, and you can watch here:
The project sounds promising with the talent in front of and behind the camera, especially with producing duo Walter Parkes & Laurie MacDonald (Gladiator, Men in Black, Flight) involved. But the real joy will be having Hamm taking a lead role in a comedy like this. He was a great addition to Bridesmaids and he always has fun on "Saturday Night Live," so this will definitely be something to enjoy. And while Mottola didn't deliver an absolute hit with Paul, there was still some great comedy there. It's not clear how soon the project will get off the ground, but we're excited. How about you?
