Anna Kendrick Takes Seat at 'Table 19' with 'Rocket Science' Director
Before Anna Kendrick was the wonderful sensation she is today, she starred in a little indie called Rocket Science. Even then, Kendrick showed tons of potential in the role of a fast-talking, intimidating debate competitor, and it's no surprise that she's one of the most popular and talented actresses working today. Well, Deadline reports she's reteaming with Rocket Science director Jeffrey Blitz for a new comedy called Table 19. The film follows a group of total strangers forced to sit together as the misfits at a destination wedding. Surely hilarity, and maybe romance will ensure, especially when you hear who else is starring.
The cast of Table 19 will also feature Craig Robinson, who starred in the disastrous comedy Rapturepalooza with Kendrick; Lisa Kudrow, fresh off a great bit part in Neighbors last year; British treasure Stephen Merchant of "Extras" and "Hello Ladies" fame; Tony Revolori, the lead lobby boy from The Grand Budapest Hotel; June Squibb, the feisty, Oscar-nominated old woman from Nebraska; Wyatt Russell, the charismatic jock from 22 Jump Street; and the lovely Amanda Crew from "Silicon Valley." That's quite an assembly of talent to team up with Blitz, who won a directing award for Rocket Science at Sundance in 2007. We'll keep an eye on this one for sure.
