Emma Watson & Ethan Hawke in International Trailer for 'Regression'

Last summer we got an early first look at the thriller Regression from director Alejandro Amenábar while the film was still in production. Now we have the first trailer from Spain, and it's certainly a tease of the thrills to come. It's very ominous, only introducing Ethan Hawke as a detective questioning a visibly shaken Emma Watson who has experience something terrible. And what starts as an isolated case suddenly turns into something horrifying with ties around the entire country. It should be interesting seeing a thriller like this again in the hands of Amenábar, and I'm very anxious to see more from the film. Watch!

Here's the teaser trailer for Alejandro Amenábar's Regression from Universal Spain:

Regression is written and directed by Alejandro Amenábar. In 1990 Minnesota, detective Bruce Kenner (Ethan Hawke) investigates the case of young Angela (Emma Watson), who accuses her father, John Gray (David Dencik), of an unspeakable crime. When John unexpectedly and without recollection admits guilt, psychologist Dr. Raines (David Thewlis) is brought in to help him relive his memories and they unmask a horrifying nationwide mystery. Dale Dickey (Winter´s Bone), Lothaire Bluteau ("The Tudors") and Devon Bostick (Diary of a Wimpy Kid) also star in the film that TWC-Dimension releases on August 28th, 2015.

Didn't realize at first that this director did The Others and Open Your Eyes (original Vanilla Sky). Great teaser. Really like that poster too. They've hooked me.

He's a good director. I recommend 'Tesis'. One of his first films. Very nice crafted ...

Amenabar is the name here and reason to watch this. Of course, I like E. Hawke, but he's just a bait, nothing more ...
Looks like a solid horror piece. Worth it to see Watson's turn at acting scared.
