Star Wars TV Spot

"What I've seen… we all need to run." This TV spot is all about Finn, and boy oh boy does this look amazing. We're past the point where I suggest not to watch if you want to go in as fresh as possible, because more and more footage is showing up online every day. Lucasfilm's latest 30-second TV spot for Star Wars: The Force Awakens features Finn, played by John Boyega, preparing to battle a one of the new First Order stormtroopers. There's also another awesome shot of Han, played by Harrison Ford, talking with Finn about how he's not yet ready, plus some cool shots of Chewie and BB-8. One month to go if you can hold on.

Here's the fifth TV spot for J.J. Abrams' Star Wars - The Force Awakens, originally from Facebook:

You can now buy tickets for the opening night showings of The Force Awakens. See the final US trailer.

Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens, continuing the beloved original trilogy about Luke, Leia, Han & Chewie that ended in 1983, is directed by J.J. Abrams, of the films Mission: Impossible 3, Star Trek, Super 8 and Star Trek Into Darkness. The screenplay is written by Lawrence Kasdan (Empire Strikes Back, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Return of the Jedi, The Big Chill, The Bodyguard) and J.J. Abrams, with Kathleen Kennedy from Lucasfilm producing. This debut is the beginning of a brand new saga, with another trilogy planned for this storyline, with Rian Johnson and Colin Trevorrow lined up to direct. Disney, after acquiring Lucasfilm in 2012, will release Star Wars: The Force Awakens in theaters worldwide on December 18th.

I'm liking Finn more and more every time he's featured.

Boyega is a super likeable actor.
      • Xerxexx
        Definitely agree.

Agree here as well, but can we leave the wooo and ahh hell no to Will Smith. Boyega will win everyone over, he already has :)
          • Xerxexx
He says "Hell no," not "Ah hell no," why are people making this a big deal? Also the Woo isn't that bad.
    • Agreed. I loved him in Attack the Block already and I was getting irritated at all that racist bs from a few weeks ago. Glad to see that trend is fading.

People are stupid and just bored.

      • grimjob
I can do this. I will do this.
      • Haha me too! Fuck. Couldn't help it. Luckily they STILL dont spoil anything. JJ is a genius!

I wonder what these trailers would be like if they cut them with other iconic music? LUX AETERNA or FLIGHT OF THE VALKYRIES would fit.

In one of the trailers, there is a clear nod to "Apocalypse Now", with the Tie fighters approaching through a fire/sun soaked background.

I want to see everything! If they show the entire movie on you tube i will see it in a cinema. It's about the experience and the coolness of the force... It's Taoism in general...
  • TheOct8pus
Enough with the trailers!!!! I'm starting to get full! I want to get to the theaters in December HUNGRY!!!
  • TheOct8pus
I can't believe they made the black guy say "Hell No"!!!! ahahaahaaaaaa
  • Cyberdine
    Mace Windu's son??????
    • TheOct8pus
No....come on....there are more than 2 black families in the galaxy.
      • Cyberdine
        Oh.....right......Mace Windu's cousin's son.
  • I just cant get over how good Ford still looks. He looks exactly like the older Han in some of the extended universe comics. JJ has done his homework!
