Here's the Trailer Mash-Up for 'Chappie' & 'Short Circuit' You Need

Ever since the first trailer for Neill Blomkamp's latest sci-fi flick Chappie debuted, there have been plenty of comparisons to RoboCop and Short Circuit. And now the trailer mash-up that we all expected has finally arrived. A clever editor has utilized footage from Short Circuit and edited it to the audio from one of the trailers for Chappie. The result shows that the films definitely share the same concept and basic story between Johnny Five and Chappie, and it's certainly amusing. Of course, I'm hoping Chappie is a little more thoughtful being a contemporary film about future robot technology and artificial intelligence. Watch now!
Every child comes into the world full of promise, and none more so than Chappie: he is gifted, special, a prodigy. Like any child, Chappie will come under the influence of his surroundings – some good, some bad – and he will rely on his heart and soul to find his way in the world and become his own man. But there's one thing that makes Chappie different from anyone else: he is a robot. Chappie is the third film written and directed by South African sci-fi auteur Neill Blomkamp, following up his films Elysium and District 9 previously. The script was co-written by Terri Tatchell, based on Blomkamp's short Tetra Vaal. Filming took place down in South Africa last year, with a cast including rappers Die Antwoord and Hugh Jackman. Sony Pictures has Blomkamp's Chappie set for release starting March 6th this weekend. Good stuff?
