Jennifer Lawrence & Chris Pratt Are Morten Tyldum's 'Passengers'

Two of the biggest stars of the past few years may be heading to space together. After just learning at the end of last month that The Imitation Game director Morten Tyldum was boarding Sony's gestating romantic drama in space called Passengers, it sounds like the studio is zeroing in on their leads. Names like Keanu Reeves, Rachel McAdams and Reese Witherspoon have flirted with the project before, but now Variety reports The Hunger Games franchise star and Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence is in early talks to take the female lead, while The Wrap reports breakout Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt is also in talks.
For those who haven't kept up with this project, it takes place on a spaceship in the future, filled with thousands of passengers making an interstellar voyage to a distant new planet. But then one man awakens from cryogenic sleep 90 years before anyone else and decides to wake up a female passenger, sparking the beginning of a love story. The script comes from Jon Spaihts, who wrote the first draft of Prometheus and is also scripting Doctor Strange for Marvel Studios, so we're excited to see how this one comes together, especially with two charming and charismatic leads such as Lawrence and Pratt. Sound good?

Pretty bored of Jennifer Lawrence now. She just grinds through films in autopilot and its lame film studios attaching her to every blockbuster now to play it safe. I wouldnt mind seeing Emily Blunt in this instead

Glad I'm not the only one getting sick of Lawrence. She's not a terrible actress, she's just in everything. I agree with Emily Blunt.

Ditto for me too. I lost interest in Lawrence a long time ago. Pity, as she once was an actress with terrific potential, a la The Burning Plain and Winter Bone. She choose to go the big crowd-pleasing route and it's worked well for her, but she's so over-exposed she gotten boring as Al Apone states. I too thought I might be the only one done with her as it seems the internet is filled with those that just 'adore' her. Their word, not mine!

So...an actor should work as little as possible and not become too successful??. Baloney. I never understood that kind of muddled logic. Good for Lawrence who continues to choose interesting films, and has earned her critical acclaim and success. Passengers sounds intriguing, and frankly, with A-List talent like Lawrence and Pratt as the leads, fantastic.

Well, Mary...thanks for stating your...opinion. One person's muddled logic is another's clarity. You sound like you like the actress. Okay by me. I don't and neither does Justin R. from above or Al Apone. 'tis what makes the world go 'round. And I disagree, I don't think she chooses interesting films as you state. X-Men? Hunger Games? Pleeeze! Or even Silver Lining Blah Blah or American Hustle...I found them tedious, boring, simplistic and not interesting in the least. Check out A Girl Who Walks Home Alone At Night by an American female director if you want to see what I find interesting. Far, far away from Ms. Lawrence. Again, thanks for your expressed opinion, but take note that some will disagree with it...even if you fail to see the muddled logic of that. Peace.

Start working part time. I kept hearing other people tell me how much money they can make online so I decided to look into it. Well, it was all true and has totally changed my life. This is what I do… ---------> ＯＷ.ＬＹ/HlSeI

Director of The Imitation Game Male lead from The Lego Movie, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Jurassic World Female lead from X-Men: Days of Future Past and The Hunger Games Sci-fi Romance I'm not sure if you could pitch a movie more commercially appealing than this one.

of all possibilities you can go with this screenplay they choose for a romantic love affair? The universe is 99% empty and this movie will be too.

Though I found the Imitation game over rated I wouldn't underestimate Lawrence , Joy starts filming this week -
