Louis C.K. Wants to Die Horribly in Neill Blomkamp's 'Alien' Movie
Just last night we got official word from Neill Blomkamp along with confirmation from 20th Century Fox that the District 9 and Chappie director would be at the helm of a new film set in the Alien universe. The news came after the filmmaker posted some concept art he created for the project, followed by an interview where he said the odds were good that he would end up doing the film, despite his own hesitation. And while we don't know if Sigourney Weaver will officially be part of it (she was included in the concept art), since she also stars in Chappie, she's been talking with Blomkamp about it and even inspired the role. Well, Jimmy Fallon asked about it last night, and it sounds like she'll be involved. But that's not all. Read on!
Here's the interview from "The Tonight Show" and the Alien chatter starts around the 1:10 mark:
That's right, Sigourney Weaver just happened to mention the development of this project to comedian and actor Louis C.K. (which is also a good indicator that it's something she's probably going to be part of), and all he wants is to have a part in the movie where he dies horribly. It wouldn't be out of the ordinary to have someone like Louis C.K. in the film, especially since another fellow comedian, Paul Reiser, had a pivotal role in Aliens back in 1986. Thankfully, Weaver told him that his request could probably be arranged. So maybe we'll see Louis C.K. killed by a xenomorph in Blomkamp's new Alien movie. Cool?
