Ant-Man Trailer

Heroes don't get any bigger than this! Marvel has unveiled the second full trailer for Marvel's Ant-Man movie, starring Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, who becomes Ant-Man. There's definitely a humorours edge to this, especially with the name "Ant-Man", but they stick to their Marvel guns and bring out all the action and kick ass visuals to help sell it more than anything. Michael Douglas stars as Hank Pym, Corey Stoll becomes the villain Yellowjacket, who we see plenty of in this, and the cast includes Evangeline Lilly and Judy Greer. This new trailer is much better than I was expecting, but mostly from a pure entertainment standpoint. I still would've loved to see Edgar Wright's version, but I'm now just as excited for this anyway.

Here's the full theatrical trailer for Peyton Reed's Ant-Man, direct from Marvel's YouTube:

Ant-Man is directed by Peyton Reed (Yes Man) with a script by Edgar Wright & Joe Cornish, rewritten by Adam McKay and Gabriel Ferrari & Andrew Barrer Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world. Marvel/Disney releases Ant-Man starting July 17th this summer.

The trainwreck shot reminds me of that scene of Night At The Museum when they are releasing the air pressure from the van's tires.
    • Nielsen700
Something is definitely wrong with your face.

Even though the trailer shows a bit too much, I'm way more exited about the movie now than I was when I saw the first trailer
    • Tuomas Lassila
Iron Man 3 trailers shown a lot of stuff, it still hid Mandarin twist. Thor: The Dark World trailers showed a lot of stuff, still hid Aether. Captain America: The Winter Soldier trailers showed a lot of stuff, still hid Hydra. I'll tell you buddy, you haven't seen anything yet 😀
  • ragethorn
Sign me up. Me love Paul Rudd in everything.

My hearts is bumping like crazy! That was so friggin' SWEET!! This'll definitely be Peyton Reed's breakout film!
  • ari smulders
not impressed by it but i wasn't impressed by the guardians trailer either,so i think this will also blow me away when i watch it!
  • JBroti
Wow! Totally freakin' stoked for this movie all over again. This trailer pretty much solidified my eagerness. I love how fresh it seems in the MCU; like a "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" with more ants intense fighting sequences. Looking forward to catching this trailer before Age of Ultron and hearing all the people in the audience (who hadn't seen this trailer yet) become impressed!
  • Payne by name
This looks great and still has me pumped about seeing it. I like how it looks like it doesn't take itself too seriously with an epic battle when small but then showing it's insignificance when back at normal size and the Thomas the Tank Engine train set derailing. I'm hoping this will be a wonderful and refreshing counterpoint to the over the top (but still looking forward to seeing) behemoth that is AoU.
  • TheOct8pus
Ha! Train scene looks epic .
  • OfficialJab
I like how goofy and fun it looks. The trailer really didn't need the sweeping choir track, I think they're too used to doing that.
  • Xerxexx
    Yep, in.
  • Lagoya
    I CAME...
  • what the fuck ever...
  • Rock n Rollllll
I'm pesuaded. Plus Paul Rudd is the tits.

Sorry, still not paying $10 to see this.

        DAYUUUUMMMMM
  • ProjectionistHP
Hahha, I have no idea whats going on with this Ant-man character. But this looks like a amount of fun like GoG was, and cast seems in order too. That train wreck was priceless
  • Brian Sleider
After GotG and the new Daredevil series(that I think this site should cover) I am willing to buy a ticket to any thing marvel. Helps that this trailer was BAD ASS!
  • shiboleth
Childish can't describe enough silliness of this trailer ...
    • SallySpider
      your mom
      • shiboleth
you missed the addressee, kiddo ... But, then again, you're not some disrespectful prick willing to insult someone's mother over the internet and for the reasons of pure ignorance, are you?
        • SallySpider
your mom should have aborted your retarded ass
          • shiboleth
Oh, you are prick. Your bad, you sorry ass ...
  • Matthew
If you didn't die laughing at that train sequence you have no soul! LOL
    • TheOct8pus
      that scene killed me.
  • Steven
Marvel are still leading the way for me. Not fussed on the tv stuff, but the movies are working great.
    • Sky
Haven't seen Daredevil yet? So good
      • TheOct8pus
I'm scared to. if you were to sell it to me, what would you say? BTW - I'm a huge fan of all Marvel films (although the Thor films are a bit weak IMO)
        • Andrew Geczy
Matt Murdock is a blind lawyer fighting against the corrupting influence of the kingpin in a broken Hell Kitchen. It somewhat surrounds the rebuilding effort after te events of AVengers and Captain America 2, and a conspiracy to manipulate those interests to hurt innocent people. hen Murdock cant help these people by the letter of the law he takes to the streets. He's not super strong or well equipped. He's simply relentless and can take a beating only to still get up. The violence is beautiful in its brutality. The acting and writing are up there with The Dark Knight. It's like Gotham meets Arrow, without all the bullshit of both shows. If you're a huge fan of marvel I don't understand why you need to be sold on anything they do. How hard is it to give things a chance?
          • TheOct8pus
Thanks Andrew! I'll check it out. I wasn't that into Agents of Shield, and I haven't seen Agent Carter (AOS felt too slow paced for me), but I'll definitely give Daredevil a chance.
          • Chris Groves
If I'm ranking Marvel's TV shows, I'd have it 1. Daredevil hands down 2. Agent Carter 3. Agents of SHIELD Agent Carter edges AOS because it is a mini-series, which I prefer, and it feels like a direct sequel to/spin-off of the first Captain America film. While Agents of SHIELD is going on 3 seasons of 22 eps a piece, and ultimately just feels like 'other stories' that occur in the MCU. Daredevil is also in that 'other stories' realm, it isn't really hooked into the films, but the nature and scale of Daredevil makes sense in that regard...and the quality of the show more than makes up for it.
          • ari smulders
Don't like agents of shield, to childish in my opinion, but I am now watching agent Carter and is very good TV show! Not daredevil good of course but way better than agent of shield!
          • Justin R
This is actually gonna make me look into this. Anytime I think of Daredevil, I sadly get reminded of Ben Affleck. I've enjoyed arrow up till this point when I'm realizing just how cheesy the show is, with bad acting and what not. I have no interest in Gotham, but have been enjoying the hell out of The Flash lately. Hopefully summer will bring me the time I need.
          • Sir Salty McGinty III
The first episode of Daredevil is a million times better than that train wreck with Affleck.
          • Bill Lange
Can't wait to see how he ruins Batman.
          • ari smulders
            Realy, Gotham is very good...
        • Sky
I would say its Marvels foray into HBO style tv show making. Grittier, but still involving things set up in the Universe itself
      • Steven
I was tempted, but felt burnt out from watching Arrow and Agents of Shield.
        • Chris Groves
It is much better than both of those, in my opinion.
          • ari smulders
            i will watched it...
          • Bill Lange
Agent Carter was awesome also, and it just got picked up for a 2nd season too!!
          • ari smulders
I am watching it agent Carter and must say it's damn good!
      • LightningB
I've watched the first 3 so far. Very well done.
    • SallySpider
      Dark Knight Trilogy > {Insert Marvel movie}
      • Dotpols
Well... Maybe Batman Begins and the Dark Knight, but Rises was that trilogy's "God Father III" and almost ruined the entire thing... it was just too stupid for words. Also, whilst I loved Dark Knight for the Joker, as a film Batman Begins has a tighter narrative... DK's whole third act with 2-Face is rushed to the point it feels tacked on and non-nonsensical.
        • matthew south
The reason there is such a disconnect there is that we weren't supposed to get the whole Two-face until the 3rd film, just the reveal, with Ledger's death and the unwillingness to re-cast the Joker for the 3rd film, they had to rush Mr. Dent's character arc.
          • Dotpols
Such a shame they couldn't have worked something else out, because it prevented the Dark Knight for being a truly brilliant film.
        • Bill Lange
          You said it perfectly!!
  • qweqwu
Great movie...if you are a 12 year old.
    • Sky
Good thing that there are 100s of millions of 12 year olds in the world
    • TheOct8pus
I'm taking my 9 year old and it's gonna be great.
    • SallySpider
So this movie is targeting the same demographic as you...maybe you can pick your next victim up when it opens
      • qweqwu
Yeah, I'd wish to still be in that demographic...
        • SallySpider
you wish you were 12? Creepy
          • qweqwu
Why is that creepy... you fucking idiot.
          • SallySpider
we already established you like having sex with 12 year olds
      • Bill Lange
        LMAO!!
    • Guest
Yeah, because being a grown-up is SO much better than being a kid...
  • Michael Kingscott
Yup, I'm sold, looks like fun - esp with Thomas The Tank Engine :-)
  • Henry Willis
This trailer is 100x better then the first teaser.
  • IamSlave
Oh lord I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. That train scene had me dying. Ha. Good stuff.
  • Chris Groves
This looks like another home run from Marvel Studios.
  • grimjob
    Ok. I'm in.
  • Nash
Sold! Totally different from any other superhero movie!
  • RAW_D
Well, it doesn't look god-awful...but it doesn't look awesome...I'll matinee it.
  • DAVIDPD
Not bad. I can dig it.
  • Bill Lange
    YES, YES, YES!!!!
  • Bill Lange
