Turbo Kid

"Find them, kill them…" Throw on a poncho, you're about to get splattered with fake blood. If you haven't seen the trailer for this film, and you can stand buckets of blood, you need to watch it. Turbo Kid was one of the films playing in the Midnight category at Sundance this year, and while I never got to see it myself, I heard that it was pretty crazy. This trailer finally lets us in on just how insane it is, with gore like no other in a retro unrated action movie gone mad. The film stars Munro Chambers, Laurence Leboeuf, Michael Ironside, Edwin Wright, Aaron Jeffery and Romano Orzari. This seems kind of like a low budget splatter version of Scott Pilgrim, though SlashFilm said it's "like no other film in the last decade". Fire it up!

Here's the trailer for François Simard, Anouk Whissell & Yoann-Karl Whissell's Turbo Kid, from YouTube:

Turbo Kid Poster

In a post-apocalyptic future a young solitary scavenger obsessed with comic books must face his fears and become a reluctant hero when he meets a mysterious girl. From horror masterminds Ant Timpson (The ABCs Of Death 1 & 2, Housebound) and kick ass Canadian filmmaker Jason Eisener (Treevenge, Hobo With A Shotgun). Turbo Kid is co-written and co-directed by the trio: François Simard, Anouk Whissell & Yoann-Karl Whissell (of Demonitron: The Sixth Dimension, Total Fury). The film first premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in the Park City at Midnight category. SlashFilm's Peter Sciretta wrote in his review: "Turbo Kid feels like no other film in the last decade. Its features balls to the wall action and some of the most inventive bloody deaths in recent memory." Turbo Kid lands in select theaters starting August 28th.

The poster you've put up is for the short film that the feature is based off of. Turbo kid is played by Munro Chambers not Francois Gadbois. Just a heads up

Ok, that was like, being in 1980s And I am not sure if that's good or not.. I hope the main character gets some pussy on the end ...
Sweet! There was a music video a while back with a similar theme, I have since forgot the title now. The score sounds sweet! A bit like Kavinsky.
