Watch: The Creepy Kids Are Back in First Full Trailer for 'Sinister 2'
"You don't stop evil. You can only protect yourself from it." Last weekend a brief tease of the horror sequel Sinister 2 debuted at WonderCon and showed up online the next day. Well, it turns out that it was just a brief snippet of the full trailer, which has just surfaced online, for the film from Citadel director Ciaran Foy. There's the standard jump scares, but the snuff videos that the ghostly kids show to the young inhabitants of a farmhouse where some grisly murders have happened are what seem to be the creepiest part of this sequel, just like the first film. Also, it looks like Bughuul seems to be more prominent. Watch!
Here's the first full trailer for Ciaran Foy's Sinister 2, originally from Fandango:
Sinister 2 is directed by Ciaran Foy (Citadel) and written by C. Robert Cargill (Sinister). Story details are limited, but we know the Blumhouse Productions horror sequel will follow Shannyn Sossamon (A Knight's Tale, The End of Love, One Missed Call) as a protective mother (Shannyn Sossamon of “Wayward Pines”) and her 9-year-old twin sons (real-life twin brothers Robert and Dartanian Sloan) find themselves in a rural house marked for death as the evil spirit of Bughuul continues to spread with frightening intensity. James Ransone also returns for the sequel which Focus Features releases the late this summer on August 21st.
