Fantastic Four

There is strength in numbers. Fox has debuted yet another new TV spot for Josh Trank's Fantastic Four, to follow up the final trailer that hit earlier in the week. In this spot, we get a good glimpse of the Fantastic Four team - Miles Teller as Mr. Fantastic, Kate Mara as The Invisible Woman, Michael B. Jordan as The Human Torch and Jamie Bell as The Thing. There's a shot of two of them locked up in some kind of plane, plus the line about "we're not the ones you should fear" and the angle that the US government is even afraid of these super-powered people. Not to mention the bad guy, Doom, played by Toby Kebbell. Enjoy.

Here's the new TV spot for Josh Trank's Fantastic Four, direct from Fox's YouTube (via SlashFilm):

You can also still watch the final theatrical trailer or the second trailer for Fantastic Four after this spot.

Fantastic Four is directed by Josh Trank (Chronicle) and written by Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Days of Future Past). The contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy. Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan & Jamie Bell star in the film which 20th Century Fox opens on August 7th next month.

    That was a bad trailer.

Indeed. It was bad. Fox dumped it.

Why aren't they showing Dr. Doom? Did they completely cock up the character? Or is he the best part of the film? Where the EFF is DOOM!!!??? (and yes, I know we have glimpsed him in the trailers/teasers)

well, they answered the age old question about what the Thing's junk looks like.

Agreed, until they give him some of those *iconic* pants, then HE'LL be, well, the thing to be MOST afraid of.

I am really, really, really hoping that Fox have just completely botched the marketing, and this isn't as bland as it seems.
