That about does it. So many of my favorites with nominations - Brooklyn and The Martian each nominated six times, Ex Machina with five nominations, plus Star Wars: The Force Awakens got four nominations. Even the documentary category has gems - I'm a huge fan of Sherpa, and I loved Cartel Land and Listen To Me Marlon. Solid picks overall this year. The EE British Academy Film Awards take place on Sunday, February 14th at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, London. The ceremony will be hosted by Stephen Fry and will be broadcast exclusively on BBC One and BBC One HD, preceded by a red carpet show on BBC Three. It will be broadcast in all major territories around the world. Thoughts on the picks?

I personally thought The Revenant lacked substance plot-wise. Leo was amazing though, and the direction and cinematography were gorgeous. I hope Ex-Machina wins something. Great movie.

There were so many good, solid films this year. I have high hopes for CAROL.
