Watch: Oscar Nominated Football Doc 'Undefeated' Official Trailer
"Two things that mean most anything to him in the world is his father and football, and we've got to make sure we're there for him." Just in time for the big game this weekend, The Weinstein Company has unveiled the official trailer (on Apple via The Film Stage) for Oscar nominated documentary Undefeated, about a struggling inner-city high school football team in Memphis trying to win their first playoff game in their history. "Oscar nominated" (this year!) is really all that needs to be said about this and how great it looks. I haven't seen it yet, but now I really really want to, I'm hooked. This is a fantastic trailer, check it out below!

Interview: 'Chronicle' Director Josh Trank on Making Telekinesis Real
Meet Josh Trank. Get to know his name. You will be hearing it quite a bit in the near future. Not only is he the very talented filmmaker behind the superpowers found-footage film Chronicle, which I've seen and is awesome, but he's already being pursued for the new Fantastic Four movie, too. With Chronicle arriving in theaters this weekend, I met up with Josh on Skype for a video chat and interview/discussion on how he got here, how he made this movie, plus everything else in-between, with references to Blair Witch Project, Stand By Me, Akira and even Jaws. Josh is a big cinephile like all of us and it was great to talk with him.

Check Out the 2012 BAFTA Five Best Film Poster Brochure Covers
Unlike The Academy, BAFTA knows what they're doing! Not only did they nominate five of the truly Best Films of 2011 (including the best of them all, Nicolas Winding Refn's Drive) but every year they whip up custom posters for their awards brochure and they're always outstanding. HeyUGuys recently posted all five of the new posters, designed by Eda Akaltun & StudioSmall (studiosmall.com), online and you've got to see them, especially the one for Drive. The other Best Film nominees and posters include: The Descendants, The Artist, The Help and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. Winners will be announced on Feb. 12 in a few weeks.

Watch: Short, Energetic New Trailer for 'The Hunger Games' Debuts
"There's 24 of us, Gale, only one comes out." Lionsgate has debuted, via Yahoo, the final trailer (and Super Bowl spot) for Gary Ross' The Hunger Games, based on the popular book series, and it's shorter than the last trailer and doesn't reveal much we haven't seen yet. Jennifer Lawrence stars as Katniss, and she's joined by Josh Hutcherson as Peeta, Liam Hemsworth as Gale, Elizabeth Banks as Effie, Woody Harrelson as Haymitch, and Stanley Tucci as Caesar Flickerman, who gets some good lines in this. I'm glad they're not showing too much with this, because I'm excited, it looks awesome and I can't wait to see it!

Sundance Interview: 'The Imposter' Director Bart Layton & Producer
One of my favorite documentaries I saw at Sundance 2012 was The Imposter, about Frédéric Bourdin, known as "The Chameleon", who successfully pretended he was a 16 year old missing boy and was brought home to a Texas family back in 1997. It's a fascinating nearly-unbelievable doc (read my review) about how this guy could convince authorities and this entire family that he really was their missing son now found in Europe. At the end of the festival, we caught up with the doc's director Bart Layton and producer Dimitri Doganis for a discussion on how they made the doc, how it came together, and their stories along the way.

New 'Tree of Life' Featurette on Emmanuel Lubezki's Cinematography
"What he's after is capturing a moment." Though this is a bit late to the game, Fox Searchlight posted a new featurette online (on YouTube via Thompson on Hollywood) that focuses on Director of Photography Emmanuel Lubezki and his beautiful cinematography. The Tree of Life has three Oscar noms this year, including Best Picture, Best Director and of course Best Cinematography. This features a few talking heads with producers and otherwise, but it's mostly lots of Lubezki's gorgeous cinematography from the film (but why isn't it in HD, Searchlight?!). It's a great refresher on some amazing cinematography from last year.

Watch: Very Revealing Final Teaser for 'Chronicle' Shows Too Much
"Andrew is out of control!" I was worried something like this would happen, but don't fret, you can just skip it entirely. Fox has posted one final "teaser" for Josh Trank's Chronicle, the found-footage superpowers film, which hits theaters this weekend. I've seen it and I can tell you it's awesome, I loved it, but this trailer shows a little too much from it. There's obviously a lot more to the movie, but it also reveals some of the bigger, better, awesome moments, and that's just too much to see before going to experience it in theaters. That said, you can watch it if you wish, because it's still a great movie worth seeing in its entirety anyway.

Watch: Full 'G.I. Joe: Retaliation' Super Bowl TV Spot Arrives Early
"In the immortal words of Jay-Z: whatever deity my guide my light, Dear Lord, don't let me die tonight." And here it is - your first look at the G.I. Joe: Retaliation Super Bowl spot, and by "full-length", we mean just 30 seconds. SlashFilm found the TV spot, which had just been teased earlier today, is already available online in full. It features plenty of action, some Jay-Z, and appearances by everyone from Bruce Willis to Dwayne Johnson to Snake Eyes and Lady Jaye, as well as everyone else. If you haven't seen the first teaser trailer, it was debuted last December. This will likely get a lot of people pumped to see this. Enjoy!

SXSW Film Festival 2012 Line-Up Revealed: '21 Jump' in the 'Cabin'
The official line-up for the 2012 SXSW Film Festival, held in Austin as part of the SXSW conference, was revealed today. SXSW announced 130 feature films playing in the festival, with some Sundance hold-overs, new premieres, and plenty of surprises. The two big Hollywood movies getting their world premiere there are 21 Jump Street, with Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum, and Drew Goddard's long lost The Cabin in the Woods, which Lionsgate is finally releasing in April. Our own Jeremy Kirk will be covering the festival. If you're attending or just curious, there is quite a fantastic line-up of films to be found from the list below.

Sundance 2012 Interview: Mark Webber - 'The End of Love' Director
One of my favorite late-fest discoveries at Sundance 2012 was The End of Love, a film directed/written by, and starring, Mark Webber and his 2-year-old son. It's a beautiful film about a single father trying to raise a son, and the way Webber captures the connection and dialogue he has with his real boy is incredible. You may recognize Webber from any number of acting roles, as the "Talent" in Scott Pilgrim, or indies ranging from Explicit Ills to Shrink to Weapons, but he's as talented behind the screen as he is on it. Luckily, Ethan and I were able to meet up with Mark at Sundance for a fantastic interview about making The End of Love.

First Look: Better Photo of Daniel Craig Back as Bond for 'Skyfall'
He's back! Though it only took three weeks after everyone first complained "where's the gun?!" from the very first look at Craig in Skyfall (Bond 23), we finally have another official first look at Daniel Craig as Agent 007, this time with his pistol. The image was debuted on the 007.com website as "Bond is Back" seen in a scene set in Shanghai. This is the kind of imagery I've been waiting to see for this 23rd Bond film, since it's starting to look exactly like what a great Bond movie (photo) should look like. Gun and all! Plus "exotic" locations. Now I'm just wondering when we're going to see our first teaser trailer for this, too. Bring it on!

Check Out Mondo's Awesomely Pink Poster for 'Drive' by Ken Taylor
My top film of 2011, if I haven't said enough, was Nicolas Winding Refn's Drive, pure perfection in every frame. While the film didn't do well in theaters, I had a feeling it'd become a cult hit and it has, especially as it finally hits Blu-Ray. Since the marketing was incredibly lackluster, fans have created lots of their own art and posters for Drive, and many are quite good. But Mondo has gone the distance and hired Ken Taylor to design the official Mondo Drive poster, for an event that occurred last night in Austin. It has since debuted online and it's as gloriously pink as the logo itself, but awesome. I'm definitely going to try and pick one up!
