Marc Webb's 500 Days of Blogging #3 - Internet Wormholes
Hey guys! Sorry it's been a minute since my last blog. Its been a very crazy few weeks preparing for 500 Days of Summer to come out. There are screenings all over the country, Q&A's, interviews and all sorts of hoopla that go on non-stop. This kind of smaller movie requires a lot of personal attention to replace the big billboards and commercials of our big studio brethren. There's a lot to process and so far the response has been pretty warm. Now that the movie's starting to get out there (stretching further and further into new markets in the coming weeks - click here for release details) I finally have a minute to hit my belated blog.
Marc Webb's 500 Days of Blogging #2 - 500 Minutes Out
Keen observers of the photos from the 500 Days Of Summer LA (it's-early-I-know-but-Joe-and-Zooey-are-both-doing-movies-so-we-had-to-do-it-three-weeks-before-the-movie-actually-comes-out) premiere might notice that Mathew Gray Gubler had a knee brace and crutches while walking on the red carpet. To make a long story short - it's my fault. The other night the guys from 500 Days of Summer (Joe, Me, Mathew and Geoffrey) went back to downtown LA on a sort of pub crawl, dance party, reminiscing event. And, like most successful drinking nights, ended up in the hospital! For more details click the video below!
Marc Webb's 500 Days of Blogging #1 - Dudes in Love
I was skeptical. Last year after the second test screening of a rough cut for 500 Days of Summer – a rogue but fortunately very positive review popped up on the website, FirstShowing.net. It was so good, in fact, I thought it may have been written by someone involved with the movie which would have completely sucked any meaning out of the praise. I shot off an email to the host and that's how I first met Alex. Thankfully neither the reviewer nor Alex himself had any affiliation with our film. I'm here to change that. It turns out Alex grew up in Colorado Springs - the same city where I went to school at Colorado College.
