Watch: Five Films from Our British Brethren You Can Enjoy Right Now
While the rest of the world is busy dealing with July 4th as another humpday, here in the United States, it's Independence Day. Plenty of people will be quoting Bill Pullman's speech from the sci-fi blockbuster of the same name, eating ribs, hot dogs and hamburgers, blowing stuff up and getting drunk, just as the founding fathers intended. However, I think we've celebrated enough to rub our victory in the faces of those who oppressed us from across the pond. Today, I say we celebrate our British brethren for being worthy opponents, and letting us have a day off, by watching some of their recent great films on Netflix Instant.

Check This Out: Impressive New 'Netflix by the Numbers' Infographic
Ah Netflix, who doesn't use it? Time for another infographic to kick off your day, this one via GigaOM, all about that fantastic video service. As many know, Netflix recently exploded into the digital realm, becoming the largest user of bandwidth on the internet (to distribute streaming movies), and growing subscribers substantially by launching accounts for those streaming online only. Who still gets the discs anyway? (I'm only kidding, or am I?) This infographic is based on real traffic data and is impressive when you think about just how huge Netflix has become and how it really is the primary movie-watching method for many people.

Now on Netflix Instant: 'Toy Story 3', 'Easy A', 'The Other Guys', More
It's been awhile since our last update on the new titles in the Netflix Instant library, so this week we have some great stuff for you to check out. There's quite a few hit movies and low key praiseworthy flicks from last year that include a comedy reminiscent of John Hughes' past work, the most recent Academy Award winner for Best Animated Feature Film, a time traveling jacuzzi and more. There's also some great indie gems from years past, a couple of stellar documentaries to see, a film from a time before Steve Martin made terrible family comedies, and the whole lot of classic James Bond films. So what's in our queue this week?

Now on Netflix Instant: Apollo 13, Moulin Rouge, Dogtooth & More
It's been about a month since we've had a decent dump into the Netflix Instant library, but we've got a whole batch of new titles for your enjoyment this week. There's definitely something for everyone, even people who like terrible movies such as Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. There's a couple of ventures back into history, two great works from Baz Luhrmann, some decent flicks from 2010 and plenty oldies but goodies. As a bonus, if you're a Kevin Smith fan, you should probably check out his newest pseudo stand-up special Kevin Smith: Too Fat for 40. Otherwise, there is plenty new to enjoy. So what's in our queue this week?

This time there is something for everyone and plenty to keep you entertained. So what's new in our queue?

Now on Netflix Instant: Fellowship of the Ring, 5th Element, More
Since the news has been slow this past week and everyone is still on Thanksgiving vacation, we thought now might be the best time to pick out some new Netflix Instant titles for you to sink your teeth into along with some delicious turkey (leftovers). There haven't been a ton of new updates, but it seems like we have at least one pick for everyone's own tastes. There's a Best Foreign Film nominee, a sci-fi action favorite, a Sundance indie, and a feature length behind-the-scenes doc, plus even a holiday comedy. In addition, I've tossed in a few recent favorites to keep you and yours busy over the holiday weekend. So what's in our queue this week?

Netflix Has Finally Released a Streaming Only Subscription Plan
Looks like we unknowingly timed the return of our Netflix Instant feature pretty well since Netflix announced (via their company blog) that they're now offering a streaming only subscription service. Anybody who wants all the benefits of viewing movies via Netflix Instant, but doesn't want to deal with those pesky disc mailers can now join the club for a price. However, this new benefit comes with a bit of a downside for existing members. Since the streaming service is apparently good enough to stand on its own subscription plan, all of the other subscription plans will be given a price increase. See details on the new subscription costs below.

New on Netflix Instant: Star Trek, Iron Man, Godfather & More
Hot on the heels of the application update allowing Netflix Instant to be used on the iPhone/iPod Touch, here's a big update to let you know about the plethora of titles that will hit the library next week. The huge chunk of cinema comes courtesy of Netflix's deal with the cable channel Epix who has provided plenty of classic and recent releases for Netflix subscribers to enjoy almost anywhere.
