First Look: Daniel Radcliffe in Ghost Film 'The Woman In Black'

Daniel Radcliffe in The Woman in Black

Yes, Deathly Hallows is almost here, but believe or not, Daniel Radcliffe is trying his hardest to make a name for himself outside of Harry Potter. He's currently shooting a movie called The Woman In Black for the recently revived Hammer Films. It's based on a 1983 horror novel by Susan Hill about a menacing spectre that haunts a small English town. Eden Lake's James Watkins is directing from a script by Stardust and Kick-Ass writer Jane Goldman. Radcliffe stars as Arthur Kipps, a young lawyer who travels to a remote village to organize a recently deceased client's papers. Hammer (via Bloody-Disgusting) debuted two photos.

First Beautiful Poster for Cary Fukunaga's New 'Jane Eyre' Arrives

Jane Eyre

Now this is how you create a great poster! Focus Features has just unveiled a teaser poster on Facebook (via The Playlist) for Sin Nombre director Cary Fukunaga's new take on the Charlotte Brontë classic Jane Eyre. We've been hearing about this adaptation for a while, as Fukunaga is focusing "on the more gothic elements of the classic 19th century story." Starring in the lead is the immensely talented and cute-as-a-button Mia Wasikowska, seen above (in an early promo photo) and below on the poster as the titular Jane Eyre. This is only an early teaser poster, as we've still got a ways to go before this Jane Eyre hits theaters next March.

First Look Photos: Seann William Scott in Hockey Movie 'Goon'

Seann William Scott in Goon

It's hockey time! This isn't Kevin Smith's hockey comedy (that's titled Hit Somebody), but Goon is another hockey comedy, directed by Canadian Michael Dowse. It's currently shooting and MTV just debuted a few new photos. Seann William Scott plays Doug, a small town bouncer who, after "physically" defending his best friend, played by Jay Baruchel, at a hockey game, is recruited to play the enforcer for a minor league team. It's basically a good ole time hockey flick and that means plenty of fights and hocke. You can see two photos below, plus one on their site. "[This is a movie for] guys that are sick of PG blood and just nonsense."

Official First Look at Spielberg & Jackson's 'Adventures of Tintin'

Adventures of Tintin

Just before the weekend we found out Empire was teasingly counting down an exclusive first look at the motion capture animation adaptation of Hergé's best-selling comic with The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn. Well, today we finally have the full photo in all its animated glory along with the first two stills from the film itself. Longtime fans of the international sensation will find Empire's magazine cover featuring the young intrepid Belgian reporter and his canine sidekick Snowy strikingly familiar. Below you'll find all three of the new images and can click each individual picture for the larger, higher resolution versions.

More Photos from EW of 'Captain America: The First Avenger'!

Captain America: The First Avenger

It must be Captain America day today! In addition to that fantastic cover shot on Entertainment Weekly of Chris Evans in costume as Captain America, a few more photos from inside the pages of the magazine have surfaced online courtesy of ComicBookMovie. There are more shots as Evans both in and out of costume for Captain America: The First Avenger, as well as look at Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter, one photo of Hugo Weaving as Red Skull looking badass as always, although not turned into the "red skull" yet, plus a quick shot of the HYDRA submarine that already got spoiled online. They're all pretty awesome - see below!

First Official Photo of Chris Evans Suited Up as Captain America

Captain America

We've featured some official concept art and various photos of a stuntman in full costume have shown up online thanks to the London shoot of Captain America: The First Avenger. However, today we finally have our first official look at Chris Evans dressed in the red, white and blue. Though he's not wearing the mask, the full cover (below) gets me pumped to see this next summer. Evans recalls how he almost didn't take the role: "I was just scared. I realized my whole decision making process was fear based, and you never want to make a decision out of fear. I can't believe was almost too chicken to play Captain America."

First Look: Joseph Kahn's Time-Travel Horror Film 'Detention'

Dane Cook in Detention

Yep, that's Dane Cook giving his best American Psycho impression (at least that's what it looks like). Sci-fi site io9 recently interviewed music video director Joseph Kahn (also of Torque) and unveiled three first look photos from his new film Detention. It's described as "Back To The Future meets Scream, with a hefty dose of John Hughes teen movies." In addition to Dane Cook, it also stars Shanley Caswell, Josh Hutcherson and Spencer Locke. Kahn recently wrapped a 51-day shoot and is now entering post-production. Detention is essentially a horror comedy featuring a crazy slasher-movie killer named Cinderhella, who's also seen below.

First Look: First Photos from Cronenberg's A Dangerous Method

A Dangerous Method

Time for our first real glimpse at the latest film from David Cronenberg since Eastern Promises in 2007. This was originally called The Talking Cure when it was first announced, but it has since been retitled to A Dangerous Method, given that it's about psychiatrist Sigmund Freud. Viggo Mortensen stars as Freud and can be seen below. He's joined by Michael Fassbender as Carl Jung and Keira Knightley as Jung's girlfriend/patient Sabina Spielrein. This looks great already, in these photos, but I wouldn't expect anything less from Cronenberg. However, we don't know when this will hit theaters, since it still needs a distributor.

Check This Out: 'Green Lantern' Movie's Power Battery Revealed

Green Lantern Power Battery

If you're a hardcore Green Lantern fan, we've got quite a treat for you today. The SpikeTV Scream Awards ceremony was held last night, and the event included a bit of Green Lantern marketing with Ryan Reynolds standing in front of a gigantic version of a Power Battery (see photos here). The Daily BLAM! (via SHH) also got a shot of the actual Power Battery from the Green Lantern universe that shows up and will be used in the movie and it's a big reveal for those who already know what exactly this is. Now if you don't know what it is, we'll explain beneath the photo. But for everyone else, take a better look at this glowing green prop piece.

Check These Out: Dark, Epic Photos from Marcus Nispel's Conan

Conan

Despite seeing some finished photos of Jason Momoa as the new Conan the Barbarian earlier this year, we haven't heard much from Nu Image / Millennium Films about the movie, which has finished shooting and is waiting to be released in 2011. However, Bleeding Cool received a new batch of photos for Marcus Nispel's Conan that are mainly (what I'm calling) wide-screen shots of the sets and battle landscapes, but without any of the primary actors visible. They're very dark and very epic and I'm amazed to see how stylized this all looks. I don't know if they're all legit, but until we hear see from this, these will have to do. Check them out!

First Look: Very First Twitter Photo of Kevin Smith's 'Red State'

Kevin Smith's Red State

Below you'll see the very first photo from Kevin Smith's Red State, which looks to be a shot from behind a piano at a church. It's not much, so don't start complaining because you expected to a face or something, but it is our first look. The photo came from one of Kevin Smith's tweets (via Very Aware) with the word: Amen. As a recap, Red State is Smith's original "political horror" film that just started shooting recently. The film is about a group of misfit kids who encounter a crazed preacher (based on Fred Phelps, founder of Westboro Baptist Church) who gives a whole new meaning to the term "extreme fundamentalism." Check it out below!

First Look: First Real Photos from Universal's The Thing Prequel

The Thing

We haven't heard much about Universal's The Thing in a while. In case you forgot or are still confused, The Thing is not a remake of the John Carpenter horror classic, but rather a direct prequel that ties in with that 1982 film. Why they're calling this The Thing as well makes no sense to me (or anyone) but there's not much we can do about it. Anyway, a few set visit pieces have started to hit the web (I suggest Frosty's from Collider or Quint's on AICN) and included in them are a series of new photos from the film that give us our first look at Joel Edgerton and Mary Elizabeth Winstead (using a flamethrower!). Check out the photos below.

First Look: Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess Star in 'One Day'

One Day First Look

I didn't even know this was shooting already! USA Today has debuted the first photo for the upcoming film One Day from Danish filmmaker Lone Scherfig (An Education) based on a book and adapted by David Nicholls. The romantic comedy plays with a gimmick where two people, who first meet at their graduation from the University of Edinburgh in 1988, proceed to reunite one day each year for the next 20 years. The always beautiful Anne Hathaway stars as Emma alongside of Jim Sturgess as Dexter. I love how unique these two look in this film, different than you'd expect, and damn does Sturgess look like Chris Pine or what.

Check These Out: Photos from Fantastic Fest's 'Buried' Stunt!

Fantastic Fest - Buried with Buried

Another post about Buried? Yes, but Lionsgate is really kicking up their marketing in these last few weeks before its opening and there is some cool stuff that I need to feature. A few weeks ago, we talked about an event/stunt that the Alamo Drafthouse was planning for Fantastic Fest called "Buried with Buried" where four fans would be buried alive in coffins and shown the movie while buried. The event took place over the weekend and we were just sent two photos of the setup and it looks badass. This is awesome, I'm a bit sad I didn't get chosen, as I would've loved to participate in this. Talk about an unforgettable way to see a movie!
